First I’m going to introduce the connection of RTC8.
The receiver is connected to this port, and make sure the connection is not reversed. If the receiver is connected reversely, RTC8 may be burnt.
This port is used to receive/send CAN data.
Here is a device used to test and simulate industrial computer. It does not come with RTC8.
The industrial computer device has its own parameter adjustment software. Here it is.
And this one is Parameter Setup APP for RTC8.
Take R8FG Version 1.0 as an example. Both PPM and SBUS signal are supported.
You can switch the SBUS and PPM signal just by switching the connecting channel. No need for setting. For example, you can switch the signal from SBUS to PPM by plugging the cable into the PPM channel.
After the introduction of the connection. We need to make sure the connection is correct, the binding is successful and the receiver signal is recognized.
Then, click Connecting device on APP. Then it will show Read successfully in Status Information
In general, users can select the Bit tate here. You can select it according to your needs. 500kbit/s is often used for industrial computer.
The values below are BS1 and BS2 used to set the sample.
For example, the sample point is 87% now. If you want to make the value smaller, you can modify the value of BS1 and BS2. Then the sample point is reduced to 81%.
The value of BS1 and BS2 also affect the Baud Rate.
CAN/SBUS/PPM here shows the current data status.
The above one is the parameter adjustment software for industrial computer. After the industrial computer APP send the data, the data can be displayed on APP of RTC8.
For example, the industrial computer APP send the data pack ID0 now,
Then we can see the CAN data ID0 displayed on APP of RTC8.
The industrial computer APP is sending the data, while it can also receiver 4 data packs. Each data pack includes data for 4 channels, 2 bytes per channel. For example, these two bytes means the data for channel 1. If I turn the wheel of channel, the bytes will change.
Then I’ll introduce the meanings of ID here.
Get channel 1-16 ID means: When the industrial computer sends this ID, RTC8 will send the data of 16 channels, 4 data packs.
If you send this ID, RTC8 will send the data of channel 1 to channel 4.
ID 0 means the four data packs will be sent.
ID 1-4 means there is only one data pack to be sent. If you only send ID1, there is only data pack 1 to be sent.
In settings of CAN send, there are also 4 ID, corresponding to the ID number of the above data pack.
For different devices, the ID number may be occupied. Then you need to change the ID number. Otherwise it’s hard for computer to recognize the ID.
Here are ID 1,2,3,4.. We change the ID number to 8, 7, 6, 5. Click Optimset. We can see the ID that computer received is also changed.
I’ll show the ID receive.
For example, I change the ID to 8. The industrial computer APP needs to send a CAN ID8. Then RTC8 can return the data to it.
Click Optimset. Send. ID0 does not work now. We need to edit the Transmit message from 0 to 8. Now we can see there is data available when we send the ID8.
