The Wells Coates-designed 'Round Ekco' is one of the most iconic English designs ever. Yet it wouldn't have been possible to build it without bakelite - a material developed by Belgian Chemist Leo Baekeland.
Radio collectors everywhere yearn for a good example of these to grace, or perhaps even dominate, their collection.
So when a home-made wooden example popped its head above the radio pulpit I snapped it up. You can see how I set about improving it on my other video about this wooden round 'Ekco', loosely based on the AD75.
