Wat a beautiful mind, I listened to it again, shared it again, it is more poignant than ever...I visited Palestine and Israel a few times, I never heard hatred expressed against Israelis by Palestinians. I was never so humiliated in my life as by Israeli security when I wanted to get into Jerusalem for Easter: they thought I was Palestinian....The Wall: I walked around it one night and read everything that was written there; I live in South Africa..I read the words by South African anti-apartheid activists claiming that what they had witnessed in Israel ito treatment of the Palestinians was worse than Africans had ever experienced at the hands of the Boers...yes other countries have colonised...but the Zionists are a century out of synch with the rest of the world...colonization takes place in other ways now...more insidious sometimes, but not as brutal and blatant as taking peoples land, life, property away...The Zionist State truly has become that which it judged: the Nazi state, not only because of the racist mobs dancing in the streets but because of the cold hearted clinical genocide the Israeli govt and IDF have embarked on.... And all this propaganda about Hamas: shameful to the max! Hamas is a politically elected government party....like the ANC in South Africa. The ANC also had a military wing in Apartheid times; Nelson Mandela was a commander of Umkonte We Sizwe and yes he was on the US terrorist list until 2008...which says more about the US than about Nelson Mandela if you ask me....Demonising Hamas is not only childish, it is criminal....the Hamas party member I met in Palestine, a university dean, was an honorary man in every way, which I would be proud to call my friend...Then the religious connection: is Israel a Jewish state? Today I had the honor of discovering Rafeef Ziadah. With this piece, she ripped my heart out of my chest, and then spoke to it/me with so much humanity and pain and love and courage, that tears are still falling from my face as I type this. Earlier today, I was once more convinced that we, humans, humanity, do not deserve this life, this planet, these riches. Bu then there was Rafeef, and she for one deserves all of it. Once again, I have to focus on people like her, and believe that good shall win over evil. Having earlier this year lost my hero, my muse: Sinéad, I bring her back by singing: And we know we shall win As we are confident In the victory Of good over evil Good over evil, yeah! I know this is three years old but trust me, your words alone mean so, so much. I'm not Palestinian but I am Arab, my parents have fled their homes to safety and they know what it's like to fear for your life everyday, unknowing if you'll live to see tomorrow. It feels amazing to know that people understand the struggle Palestinians go through. It feels amazing to know that someone who is not Arab, who has not been constantly reminded of the Palestinian point of view chooses to stand with the truth. It really hurts to see how people narrow Palestinians down to "people who teach their children to hate when there's another solution". Your words mean a lot. Like you, someday I want to make a change too. I pray we live to see the freedom of Palestine. I pray it's very soon too. I wonder how many more lives need to be lost until everyone opens their eyes.

This young lady is in my heart reminding me that peace is a forever job. Sometimes it is the hardest job I have ever had. Hate is so much easier to do when I see kids burned up, missing limbs mothers with eyes blank because they are dead, fathers are crying , you know they are because the dirt is gone from where their tears are streaming. God help me to not hate so much my soul hurts.

Haters just hate for the sake of hating they don't need their children to be dead but the Palestinian are not haters they are victims and oppressed and no one got the right to lecture them until their lands and dignity are fully back to them. the young lady wanted you to remember there will be no peace with no justice but you missed the point you did the exact same as the journalist she mentioned. so work on justice sir before more people of Palestine are unjustly killed.
