You can still go on your camping trip, just use a portable camping stove and warmer clothes. At least then you will be able to try everything out that you have already done..

My son has a 1972 VW early bay we have worked on together. You have two walls to think about painting. Bulk head would be big enough to take a wide trunked tree, pink blossom, going up and halfway over the bench. The shower wall, another thinner trunk of a red blossom tree, up and over to meet the branches of the pink one. Or even a tall pagoda image on the shower wall, petals covering the ground.

Carbon monoxide and gas detectors. Also you can get a hand held gas detector to show exacting where leaks are.

If you have your electric hookup in (can't remember if you're done) an electric heater and a portable camping stove will be plenty for your planned trips (electric heater only good for sites with hookup).

It just goes to show that as soon as you get ‘professionals’ involved it is out of your hands. What you and your Dad have achieved has been absolutely remarkable and reliable. If you are staying on a campsite, take an electric fan heater.

Don't worry about your oven the plastic new smell will burn off eventually

If they have let you down twice i certainly wouldn't give them another bite of the cherry and i would also question there standard of work as if they can not get a booking right twice that leads me to believe they are not very competent so wouldn't trust them with gas

Any brand new oven will give off a plastic smell when first used. It's recommended you leave it on for half an hour to burn off the new plasticy smell 👍

It's such a shame you haven't got the green light. Well in this weather we are having it's kind of a blessing. I wouldn’t worry about the cooker smells too much. Even normal kitchen cookers have a smell when they’re brand new. I wouldn’t cook food in it straight away though. Just set it to about 200/210 for an hour/hour and a half to burn off any oils and left over residue from the manufacturing process and you should be good to go. I hope everything turns out okay with the gas. Just be careful. Keep the big doors open if you use it before it gets signed off. It’s mental that they gave you the okay to do so tbh

That pink looks loads better than the green in my opinion. The green seemed too overpowering. Love the idea of the blossom tree but does this mean a name change for the van now? (Blossom, cherry blossom or cherry?)

The gas filler is really awkward the first time you do it, there are a couple of different nozzles too which confuses things.

Doesn’t happen the third time your left with 2 options, go elsewhere and NAME AND SHAME!

Take your custom elsewhere. . Think. What about if you have a leak or something Gas related at a later date, this gas fitting company will probably let you down and keep you waiting again. Ask other van builders who they use ....

That’s terrible service, can’t you go somewhere else and get it done?
