I'm Becca, & I invite you to join me on an incredible journey of resilience, reinvention, & embracing life to the fullest.
Survived eight years with an undiagnosed tumour - think of it as my not-so-cool superpower. Lost a house, job, & dignity along the way. Docs finally found the culprit after a dramatic hospital stint. So, what's my post-tumour plan? Build a van, obviously!
My dad, Nick, & I are transforming a Peugeot Boxer into a home on wheels. He brings the expertise; I bring... let's call it 'enthusiasm.' Subscribe if you're ready for the dynamic duo & some questionable DIY decisions.
Expect road trips, quirky detours, & me trying to figure out plumbing on camera. It's not just van life; it's a comedy of errors with a dash of wanderlust.
Life threw me a curveball; I turned it into a van. Subscribe, hit the bell, & let's navigate this chaotic, hilarious, & slightly dysfunctional life together!

I know a lot of people like to remove them for the extra space but the way I designed my van I didn’t need extra space & I’m finding having the partition in useful for SO MANY things. I’m really glad I kept it. Can’t imagine how difficult the van would be to keep cool in summer / warm in winter without.
@myvanworld well, yeah but heat shield is kinda what wins it over. Even when I install air-conditioning it will ade in keeping moi cool As for language learning I'm presently using duolingo but have been tempted a few times to try your one. . . I'm learning French at present. But have been tempted by Spanish as it is a frequent holiday destination, along with Turkey. But Turkish is proper difficult. Lol
🤩🔥 Go on James!! If I can do it, you can do it. It’s even better than I thought it would be 😍 Comments like this make all the stress of filming & editing worth it, so thank you for telling me! I hope to see you on the road sometime x
Hi Becca ,we joined you today, we thought you were great, and have subscribed to see more you.thank you so very much for you entertaining us.the bike Was awesome ❤xxx
I was saying this to someone the other day. Finding good park ups really makes or breaks vanlife. When you find a good one, you’re like “life’s good”. When you don’t, it’s like “why am even I doing this?”😂 I could’ve done without the gratuitous close ups of the cut on your leg. I’m not very good with blood, and had to turn away so I didn’t throw up🤢.
Great location , I have a few faves also, so peaceful and out the way. That’s a cracking cat scratch , probably the best I’ve seen, tbh if I walk past and seen that I would think you owned a sabre tooth tiger, and my walk would get a lot quicker , you would see nothing but a plume of dust. Nice 🚲
I empty the pee bucket every other day. You could possibly get 3 days of out it but I’ve been too close to the top sometimes doing that so ended on every other day for the bucket. The number two side varies. I add my toilet paper into the bucket too so depends on that mainly. Maybe once every 10 days - 2 weeks. You could go a lot longer but I find it odd just driving your poop around 🤣 so empty it more regular than what you ‘need’ to. Pee bucket, down a drain mostly, or the odd occasion in a hedgerow if I’m somewhere well out of the way. Other one just goes in my main bin out with my rubbish & savannahs litter. Double bag it, any normal bin is apparently fine. Eventually the plan is a homestead, so I’ll start a compost pile when that comes to fruition.
My favourite piece of advice (that I saw on Goodreads, of all places!) is “The difference between an adventure and an ordeal is attitude.” And I pull on this quote ALL the time cause I’m such a negative Nelly! That mindset is magic ✨
Hi really enjoyed watching your videos wow what a amazing park up great for your cat to run around and be free and for you to chill out loving the E BIKE very much looks amazing can I just say really loving the van can’t wait to see your next video keep safe 😊👍🏻
@@donnysweekendvanlifetravel7854 Happy birthday! You’re a July baby too - they’re the best ☺️ mines next weekend. Hope you enjoy your day. I’m going to be Dorset way for a week or so in September. I’ll keep you posted. X
Not sure where the UK depot is, would you like me to find out for you? Mine arrived 2 days after ordering & I got daily updates via text on shipping progress. They use a courier. They’re quite an established brand, where is the concern coming from do you think? The amount ? / ordering online etc?
Hi Becca, Lovely vid! Savannah seems totally chilled now, Bike looks fun etc & It looks like you've got yourself in a great routine, Nice One✌️😹💚👍 Cheers Jim X
I'm Nearly 55 Me Going Weeeee uphill on an E-bike overtaking the Lycra crew up hills i Smile on the otherside of the Hill on the proverbial way down 😂, i love my E-bike
Savannah in A-van-ah Smoking a cigar in Havana , Great to see Savannah Stretching her paws with no leash, onwards and forwards, Becca all the best lass, see we knew you could do it. Regarding the scratched leg Stinging like a mofo i bet ( Cat Scratches do sting a bit) I dunno what to suggest. I think it will take time for Savannah to get used to Dogs, because tbh it is usually dog walking section, i bet the Dogs are like Wow it's Bob from home ( cat) and just want to go and sniff lol, Savannah after time like being used to being on the road i am sure will one day get used to dogs.Because to be honest it is kinda a dog walkers paradise, as a lover of both cats and dogs speaking..... Editing again... Thinking forwards, has Savannah ever had any time with Dogs or perhaps from close interactions from family or friends Dogs/pups? Thinking a gentle course into living with Dogs or buy a puppy and perhaps Savannahs Maternal instincts will kick in ? Anyways enough of my ramblings Savannah is a beautiful Maine Coon Cat and sure everything will work out ok, Oh BTW enjoy that Ebike they are a ton of fun 🚲🚲🚲🚲😄 👍
I think you’re right she’ll get used to them in time. She’s not been around dogs before at all until the van, but now she’s tormenting my clients dogs though the window as I work which is hilarious. She’s getting braver by the day &hopefully she have lots of doggie friends soon 😍
@@bennyhill4228 She really has. Which is such a relief. I’m so impressed with her. She was the biggest hurdle by a mile but I’m glad we’re over that stress now 😻
Great job getting Engwe on board, some of the big RU-vidrs rave about them! Sav is looking so happy, and so are you Becca! I'm so pleased thing are working out for you.
That fajita must have been good to have eaten the second one in one bite! And Savannah being able to roam free at a park up was great to see, what a spot that was You could try taking the bell off, loosen the speed control buttons and slide it down to where the bell was and put the bell back on next to your hand
Why are folks so bloody spiteful…. She works and earn her own money….. don’t be jealous…!!!!! That was a lovely video, savannah is having the time of her life bless her 🐈 I hope your scratch heals up … stay safe xxx
Thanks. As someone who’s made themselves ill working so hard to get this done it’s hilarious to me people think dads just given me it all. I’m sure they’ve forgotten I sold my Audi to fund the thing 😂 But hate never comes from those above, only those below trying to drag us down to their level🙏🏽 Thanks for the love xx
@@BobertSands 🤣🤣 my days you couldn’t be more wrong. Thanks for the laughs though. Again, sending love. Seems like you have much work to do on yourself 🤍
Some advice from a 5 year vet of full timing. Don't use chocks or have a seat and or table outside the van. Your trying to look like your just there for the day and not settling in for a week. If you want to stay in one spot for more than a few days turn up later in the day stay the night then drive off and go away for a few hours then return in the evening.
Thank you. This is a really interesting subject for me because I got similar advice from several other people before moving in. However, I quickly learnt that’s not how I wanted to live. Unless it’s a park up for work, I stay three days minimum without moving & I’ve not had any issues. I get my chair out, Savannah is now roaming around. I sometimes meet the locals who think what I’m doing is fabulous & want to look around the van. Several have subscribed to this channel & I’ve ended up with a new client that way too. I’m having the exact opposite experience of what everyone else has told me would happen. Is this because I’m in the countryside? Or am I just lucky? Because from my (very limited) experience so far, no one has a problem with it & it feels more relaxed for me. Would love to know your thoughts on this, because I don’t know other van lifers who do it that way. Is that because that’s what everyone tells others to do, or do people have issues when they stay places longer? I’ve not felt the need to be stealthy at all. Not after becoming comfortable in the van so I find it very interesting how so many people feel differently. I wonder if it’s the places I’m choosing to park, they’re usually very out of the way. What do you think? Really appreciate the words of wisdom from a vet. I don’t know many other van lifers in real life yet to have these conversations with. Others feel free to chime in! I’m genuinely interested in people’s experience. Why have you come to that conclusion etc. Much love 🤍
