yea exactly this band has been a part of our lives but that doesn't mean it was going to last and if you didn't see them when we did YOUR loss sorry but I never got to see the Beatles but I ain't bitching about it, I'm happy with what I got so should we all. Rage has taught you nothing if you don't know yourself.

It's a good thing I've never seen them live. Anyone who has paid to see Rage after 2000 is a disappointment to who the band was at it's start. ESPECIALLY after Tom Morello was outed as a classist diva. RATM hasn't been a legit punk band since the late 90s. I was too young and broke to them back then. I didn't pay $500 to them in 2007, I didnt pay $900 to see them in 2021, and fuck well didn't pay $1300 to see them in 2022. Especially around a bunch of snotty hipster types that were the exact type of filth that early RATM set out to destroy. This is the same reason I'll never see Metallica live. I'm not paying $2000 for floor tickets to see a band that has sold out to that extreme, no matter how much I love their music. @@uselessagent7342

Work as a verb means, "Be engaged in physical or mental activity in order to achieve a result; do work." So, writing songs in Rage and Audioslave isn't work? Touring in a band isn't work? Weird. Creating a product and selling that product isn't work? For a guy who allegedly hasn't worked a single day in his entire life, he has a lot of work to show for his life. Weird.

He was never actually against those people, he aspired to be one of them. Many of their fans just didn't catch onto it because they had a great sound and most of their hits remained just lyrically ambiguous enough to appeal to a wide swath of people who generally considered themselves to be anti-establishment, or more commonly, were simply interested in playing the part of the rebel.

Right, cuz weren’t they all for pushing the injections or trying to influence people to take um to even be able to see their shows? So like ya said they became the thing they were against. But even so too, weren’t they or are still falling for the political right / left paradigm lie, when anybody with common sense should realize by now that there not elections but selections and if they or anybody else knows their history by now that governments can’t an never can be trusted……… But maybe they never trusted government actually cuz that’s what a lot of their tunes were about, so maybe that still got that right an stuck to it……Either way they had kick ass tunes, an I can say I got to see them live in Chicago, so I’m grateful for that. meh .. Cornell was way better without those guys. I thought he was dumbing himself down playing with those guys.

Audioslave were extremely lame. And although Chris was great and later redeemed himself, he went through some really lame years with Audioslave as well as that junk he did with Timberland or whoever. I remember sitting in a bar and that lame pop rap crap came on with Chris and I just shook my head.

@@whois3581 Uphoria Morning was a great record. Definitely some good non-Soundgarden stuff he did. Audioslave sounded like Butt Rock. Kinda like something The Red Hot Chili Peppers turned into mid 90s. I never understood the love for that band either. It's like they decided once 'Under the Bridge' blew up that they needed to just keep writing that same song over and over. They were OK for a novelty act before all that but I just can't understand their staying power. People still seem to love them. Audioslave is a bit more tolerable but only because of Cornell's voice. Still boring music though. Rage Against The Machine always sounded like some raging mom yelling at their kids to clean up their room. Just a grating obnoxious sound to my ears. Makes sense those guys turned into jabadabadoo pushers. Total establishment tools.

@@Fiveash-Art Butt Rock is good term for it. Same for Foo Fighters. Just lame uninspired radio friendly money grab garbage. And yep, same for RHCP. They've been selling that same schtick for way too long it's crazy. I did like Rage for their energy, good riffs and drums. Didn't exactly care for all the politics, but watching what they became is pretty funny. I think Zac is the one that always stayed true to what he believed. He's the one that always backed out because money wasn't his main priority. Tom is the corporate slave for sure. He'll throw out whatever flavor bs he can make a dollar from. As far as Tim or Brad, eh...can't really say, but really seems Zac is the one that at least tried to avoid being a complete sellout hack. Agree with all his politics or not I can at least respect that part of him. And yea Euphoria Morning was pretty good. Some of his other solo stuff was a little lame at times. But it was mainly that Timbaland colab he did, was even more disappointing than butt rock Audioslave.

They’ve been raging for the machine since they came out.

Saw them twice in the 90's. One of he best live acts I've ever seen. Oh, and the debut album was one of the best debuts period. Seems all the trolls have been waiting for them to split for years.
