Agreed. Those facial twitches are hard to do on command and i don't care what the dude says about microexpressions because even though the twitches are extremely fast that Ragnar does, micro expressions are much much faster, shorter, and take years of training yourself to see them by watching people that are not acting. If you're acting, then your mind is aware of what you're doing and it's still possible for true micros to happen but it will not be in synch with their acting.

I actually tried doing this when walking in public. It's just insane how effective it is. I am 5'10 and about 190 lbs, not the biggest, not the smallest, but if you simply look straight ahead and walk kinda slow with your head held high and shoulders back everyone will move from your path. I felt like a king doing this and everyone else were the peasants and village folk afraid of stepping in my way. Everyone moved. It was just like this scene. It was a fun experiment.

@@guiterman6263 that's prey mentality though. A predator is not generally concerned with others around it, and will ignore those that do not interest it. Hence walking in a straight path head up looking straight and not at anyone in particular.
@GenX-Rising
@GenX-Rising 2 года назад
@@okdokgg857 ya. I agree with what you're saying. If you try to look at everyone in the eyes while you're walking around a ton of people then you'll look like you're paranoid or insecure and on the defensive, but if you look straight ahead and walk smoothly with broad shoulders and only look people in the eyes that start talking to you until you're bored with them but always look someone in the eye that you start talking to. And there is more than one way to look people in the eye. The "Kubrick" stare and the predator stare can be intimidating but if that's your intent then use it. There's also that look of concern where you look them in the eye while they talk then look down like you're processing what they said and look back at them when you respond but the tonality you use comes into play big time with that one. The glancing eye contact with a sheepish smile and holding the smile while you look away is the best one for checking out a lady. It conveys a lot to someone's perception of you if by looking at them causes you to smile and keep smiling when you look away. They feel good about themselves and you've let them know you're interested in them. But all of that is meaningless if you don't follow up and go talk to her

Assuming you haven’t seen Vikings before... Ragnar is genuinely one of the best characters I have ever seen. Partly what made him so incredibly mesmerising is those exact micro-expressions, he absolutely mastered them. Yes! Finally, my favorite show. Right, a few corrections since you haven’t watched the show. His demeanor and little expressions are the result of severe drug use and sliced up abs from a battle. He also had a rough fall which was what kind of did him in, physically (and resulted to the aforementioned drug use). Also, he’s not just embarrassed for leaving his people and his sons, the reason he went into self exile was because his brother betrayed them and resulted in a pretty devastating loss, after he vouched for him and saved him from a previous betrayal.

Bjorn did something like a judge role, last to appear with all his energy fresh and judging the event almost as if ready to have the last word, very interesting thing there, also being a taller capable warrior helps to come across as dominant, and being the bad ass son of another bad ass helps even in the presence of dad (the original bad ass).

Only criticism of the scene where his son walk out to challenge him. Ragnar was not posing to be aggressive. His feet were together to pose as a sacrifice. He was "preparing" and making a show it, albeit dramatically for his son to kill him. Frame it as a cross and the meaning changes.
