Awesome video man! I’m suprisingly 5 minutes away from that crossing, I usually railfan there every single week. Gotta love those GP9RMs thundering through burloak on the Oakville sub. Those GP9RMs are my most favourite locomotives of all time that are CN.
@@SelkirkSubRailFilms yea they are still running around, you can find them at Macmillan yard, you’ll find some in the Hamilton area along with the other geeps, you’ll find them on the locals on the Oakville & halton sub, etc
What was the freight train doing during this video. He comes to a halt on the far track and reverses back over the crossing then returns over the crossing again. He doesn’t look to have lost or added any cars to his consist as he leaves.
GP9Us are the CP ones, the CN ones are GP9RMs. also I have railfanned that Sherwood forest park before, great spot to film GO Trains, CN Locals and Searchlight signals! Also may I add it is not called the CN Oakville Sub anymore, its either the GO Oakville Sub or Metrolinx Oakville Sub.
Great video. Could someone answer me a question though. Here in the UK trains will blow their horn when approaching a level crossing and I believe in the US it’s two long, one short, one long on the horn. But what about in Canada? I didn’t notice any train blow it’s horn on approach but each one had it’s bell ringing. Is that all they do on approach to level crossings in Canada?
Many crossings in very urban areas are being turned into "quiet zones" with extra gates and bells where the trains are not required to blow their horns as is the case at this particular crossing. At none quiet zone crossings, the horn procedure remains the same as the U.S. with 2 long, 1 short and 1 long. Thanks for watching!
Thought this was Train Sim world......great vid anyways.......what a class game though.....unbelievable on PS4.....the sounds, actions, missions......brilliant job Dovetail. A great DLC would be NY Penn to SF or LA
