Is this sim better than Derail Valley? Could be, depending on what you're looking for in a train sim.
Railroader is a lot more business focused and has AI drivers for use.
Derail Valley is king in the realism when it comes to operating the trains.
That said, I haven't been able to stop playing this since I took the time to figure it out. Hint: Do the tutorial.
