In December 2005 I took a trip up/down to Rhymney from Cardiff behind 37419. In the days of open windows, I've captured the sound of the old 37 as she runs down to Cardiff in just over an hour stopping at all the stations on the way Enjoy the memories. Who knows it may happen again. Tape 191

I used to work in Brunel house so would hear this train starting up and it was really noisy but so cool that they still used it!

Memories. I love them, Mike. Pontlottyn, Bargoed have not changed. Hengoed where I live past the Junction Pub on the exit from the station. Ystrad Mynach signal box (now preserved) and the branch line up to Cwmbargoed.

I've just read in the RM that Cl.37s could be back for a while late 2019. Shame I can't be there. I'd film a whole run unedited, no zoom, just how it really is. Would be nice to watch years later when loco-hauled has gone forever.
