And so, the Alius Academy arc has come to an end. It really did seem to grow up on me every time I see it. I still have some complaints about Inazuma Eleven 2: - Shawn's backstory is poorly-told here in comparison to the anime (with the only good parts being the conclusion AND especially Shawn entrusting Aiden's scarf to Mark instead of just throwing it away like a piece of trash). - Only three Mega Moves were used from Dave's scrapbook, and I'm sure there are more than those three in his book that were never shown. - The Alter Ego mechanic is underused. Like, we could've had it for the Epsilon players (which would be their Advance Epsilon form), the regular forms of the Dark Emperor players, David Samford and Joseph King (their Royal Redux forms would be their Alter Ego) and maybe sweeper Mark for Mark himself so that The Earth doesn't seem really useless on Mark. - The Dark Emperor forms of Night, Feldt, and Shadow not having a single change from their regular appearance. Like, at least remove those wires from Feldt since Brainwashing doesn't need them anymore since they don't get inputs through those things from their coach. - I still don't like how this game carries random encounters. But the ending is still acceptable as always. However, I found it interesting how Mark's feelings of soccer can apparently destroy the Alius rock in the anime.
