Sorry to be like this, but I literally just bought a box of 18 eggs (1.5 dozen) for $2.92 which is exactly $.16 per egg.

More like around 2 1/2 to 3 years ago. A dozen eggs at .16 each is only $1.92.

Frozen pie crust, puff pastry etc are godsent. With a little creativity you can throw almost anything on them and they will turn out good.....and portable! 😅

I like many vegetables, but my absolute favorite combo is cauliflower, broccoli, and carrots. I can easily see that combination, along with some sliced parsnips (YUM!!!) and smashed crispy potatoes, all inside a homemade crust (I follow keto, so can't use commercially-made crusts). Add a cup of homemade "struggle"/budget soup, and one can have several meals fit for serving to....well, perhaps "King" Charles wouldn't eat it, but maybe a hungry statesman would 😁.

You must be. Carrots weren't orange, in actuality, until man began experimenting with various soils (early GMO, sort of) a couple hundred years ago. They were mostly white or purple.
