Yup. I win a significantly higher percentage of games when I get teammates that have roughly similar hours played and rank as me. But nah, that's too much to ask for on a normal basis: heres 3 bronze players in their 2nd ever season.
@@bakes1324happens to me and my friends in ranked every day. I’ll get people who hit champ 6 years ago when we first hit plat and we’re carrying them so hard. Ranked 2.0 ruined siege. It’s like I’m not winning a match unless I get at least 8 kills.
@@bakes1324 no I’m on Xbox, they behave like new players while I have a 1.4 kd and 1.1 WL. I’m a level 164 and my last ranked game had a lvl 50 and a 52, I’m silver 1
I haven't played this game consistently for more than 2 and a half years, but I've consistently watched every Gregor video for the same amount of time.
Haven't played in a couple years, started playing again recently. Been frustrating but sometimes fun, being hot garbage is like that. But thanks, I'll keep going at it and try to improve at everything!
8:55 That’s why smash players have multiple mains. If one of their characters isn’t working, they switch to a different one that has a more favorable matchup. Never thought I’d be comparing brawl and Seige tho.
25:30 Most important advice, but also a sad truth for insomniacs like me. I thought playing ranked, operating on 2hrs of sleep per the last two days, would be a good idea way too often.
I stopped playin a month ago cos I had like a 27 mmr points gap between plat 1 and emerald and after one match that I won,it gave me 26 mmr points. Played another game for that 1 mmr point, lost it 0-4. Since then I've done playing this game and I wouldn't consider playing some time soon.
we all do, i was proud to have peaked high 3800s in plat 1 during demon veil, nowadays if i peak plat 1 im essentially the same skill level as what would be gold 1/plat 3 in 1.0, it literally makes everything besides diamond and champ not satisfying to get whatsoever, the whole emerald rank is essentially just plat 1.0 + low diamond, i technically “moved up” in skill level yet everything else stayed the same, which made achieving the rank feel absolutely worthless
even certain things like blowing out the thermite trick wall on initiation for theme park, i immediately noticed that all the people i q’d with rank 2.0 and on seemingly never blew it out, despite me always seeing teams blow it out in rank 1.0. im 99% positive this is because people are just straight up getting boosted to some of these ranks because there’s no way a competent team in that rank or any rank above would leave that wall up for therm
i see alot of “skill check” shit all the time, like jager mains bugging out when capitao bolts or hibana pellets go right through their ads and they had no clue that interaction existed previously when everyone in ranked 1.0 knew what jager could and couldnt catch
As a relatively new player to siege who just bought the game during Christmas of 2023, I have be shell shocked by the learning curve of this game. I'm still learning how all the operators interact with each other and still not completely familiar with all the maps in ranked rn. I just recently started using vertical play with buck and forcing myself into a shallow roam sometimes instead of constantly staying on site. Strategy for attacking sites is still pretty overwhelming to me. Tips like walking to reposition during gunfire to help mask your noise are huge for me! Some nights I feel like I've learned new things about the game, (Last night I just learned you can't plant in barbed wire). Other nights feel completely overwhelmed after a few games and get really discouraged because I didn't learn anything because I didn't understand what happened. It's hard for me to figure out how to correct my mistakes also. I'm really enjoyed siege and want to continue to learn!
Dude I came back to this game after quitting in early 2018. I was mainly a plat, but I was diamond in Dust Line. I just reinstalled yesterdaty after getting a PC again and holy shit is this game different. The new operators, the new maps, even the old maps are reworked and new. Also the average skill level of the community has skyrocketed, I played my first ranked matches today and even Copper and Bronze seems like it has some fairly experienced players in it. Just wild how much this game has grown from back in the day.
#2 is one i learned to do better recently. When things get difficult, I used to go for a safe pick, go back to someone i'm used to, or use something to help the team instead with someone like Finka for example. But recently, ive decided to take away that mindset and do exactly what Gregor said here,, and so far, its given me better results.
my ranked experience is getting people who hit champ 6 years ago (when I first hit plat) and carrying them to no end. Ranked 2.0 ruined siege. It’s like I’m not winning a match unless I get at least 8 kills. Edit: console
Last season, I solo qued to emerald 1 still gaining 55 RP and losing 11 RP with a 0.6 w/l. Ranked 2.0 is a joke. With that said, I am programming a ranked 3.0 program that I’d love to license to indie games. And maybe eventually Ubisoft
I play a lot of wall denial/wall open, but I always see teammates that aren’t comfortable taking the gunfights or roaming off sight. It’s really funny when people complain about an “entry-fragging Ace” or a “roaming Kaid”, but the flexible mindset really does apply. They aren’t the best for these jobs, but I’m not willing to let NO ONE do the job.
I mean Ace absolutely is good fro fragging, just take a look at his gun, but i get your point. I'm one of the ppl shitting themselves on the tought of swinging into a room potentially full of enemy LoS or nasty-angle holding enemy combatants.
One mistake that will really drop your rank is bitching about the scopes so hard that Ubisoft straight up changes them, leaving in the 1.5 sight but giving it a of zoom is suchhhh a good idea and we definitely won’t regret this at allllll.
Another big one is stop changing your settings give yourself sometime with the new sensitivity or fov ive had 2 sensitivities throughout my whole 8 year siege career being 100 100 and now 45 45
Just get a 5 stack or 3 stack, I 5 stack with friends and we win every game that we’re on a 30 game win streak it’s not hard if you communicate the entire game and not become kill hungry like low Elo. It’s a team game not like a battle Royale.
