I had a minor surgery a few days ago. I watched this while having some horrible pains at 1 in the morning post-op. I didn't even finish the video before falling asleep. Something about it is so comforting watching the palette knife dance across the canvas and create shapes out of nothing. I came back to see the finished masterpiece.
I have yet to find an artist that captures "rain" and all the feelings that come with it, better than you. I feel melancholy, bittersweet, hopeful, renewed, lost. Just beautful
Your "rainy'" paintings are my favorites, the way you riproduce the wet surfaces Is amazing..and that moment of the day like late afternoon with the city lights start to be lighted up Is my favorite part of the day. Amazing, you are so good.
@@KitKat-100 just because you can't, doesn't mean others can't. Or rather Why would that be impossible, humans are capable of great things and talents.
They arent mad at u?? Theyre just pointing out that as humans, we’re capable of so many things; working without a photo reference being one of them. When you’re an experienced artist, things like this can come straight from your imagination.
@@ricardog5121 @zo.questionable I of course don't know his particular approach, but contrary to popular belief, generally the better artist someone is the more they use reference. Of course not 1:1 copying the reference, but getting some things like composition, basic buildings, and so on from one or many many different references combining them together. Sure he is freestyling a lot - adding some people, more stylization, adding what feels right, but the overall rule is: The better the artist, the more they use reference. Not straight up copying but getting inspiration from them
Just mesmerizing to watch these beautiful pieces come to life. I absolutely love this person’s work. Such vision and talent. Every now and then we find a youtube channel that further enriches our lives. I’m so happy I found this one. Thank you, Dusan, for sharing your work with us.
Dusan! I’m totally captivated by your technique and results. I’m a subscriber for some years now and try to watch every one of your videos. When I start watching I can’t stop until the end. I also was totally captivated by watching you mix paint. But…. I want you to please show us your painting knives. Yes, I confess, I have thrown my brushes away and forsaken French Impressionism. My 50 year obsession with DeStael remains.
I am absolutely riveted by your ability as an artist. Nothing pretentious with your work. I also appreciate the placement of the flecks of light on the people in relation to the shops, street lights, and car headlights. Bravo, and cheers from the U.S. ☺️.
watching you paint is so interesting like you put down your colors and one moment it’s an undefined blob and the next it’s something beautiful and well detailed like what !! where did that car come from !!!!! event the way light reflects on the paint adds to the piece it’s so beautiful and well done ❤
C'est magnifique ! Un grand merci, je vais essayer de peindre au couteau, vous m'avez donné envie d'essayer. Votre travail est superbe, je vais peindre une rue de Marseille, enfin disons que je vais essayer...
I'm weird.. I love the painting at 5:08 and with nothing more. .. it would give the feeling of a painting of a memory, a small window of time etched on the mind but just a specific moment and place. Not sure if I've explained it right.
Do you ever find yourself scraping off the paint and starting again or do you just go heavier over the top of what you've done? Amazing control. Thank you for sharing.
