Raised by Wolves Opening Music Raised by Wolves OST Playlist: • Raised by Wolves (HBO)... Vocalist: mariam wallentin Raised by Wolves Official Intro Song Soundtrack produced by Ben Frost
En 'light' enment.. The failing of a deeply entrenched paradigm.. the realization of everything being retarded by our actions and perceptions. and the actualization of all their and our true potential! Love - to follow the Laws (according to all the sciences) Statutes ( of ones peoples/tribe) and Commandments (...of all enlightened men) Generation after Generation... and all this, you will achieve! Written by a true Israelite.. (one who puts science, the truth of all things) before faith or belief.
A fun tidbit about the show. Mother reveals her name is Lamia: In Greek Mythology, she was the queen of Libya. But when Hera finds out about her affair with Zeus, she turns her into a child-eating monster, her first victims being her own children, and then curses her with insomnia. Zeus takes pity on her and lets her lift her insomnia by making her eyes removable.
The story is us coming from the planet they land on. Adam...Eve...Serpants and all. I feel like this show is an exercise of what is right, wrong, religious, atheist, and all the the pain and existence in between. You can have Religion and Atheism but neither give you any reality...nothing that is actually Tangible or really factual. At some point the universe around us will take actual hold. The thing to grasp on is..."are we ready"?
I'm going to miss seeing this beautiful intro on my TV screen. This show represents all that is great about Sci-Fi.....I pray that Sol grants us a third season and more.
в конце света будет звучать rock-n-roll from hell, но мы его не услышим, т.к. попадем в рай (Путин обещал) и там будем наслаждаться пением божественных Киркорова, Баскова и Лазарева (just kidding!)
The pandemic is a tough time to release content bleak in tone, even if the content is utterly fantastic. But fear not - Raised By Wolves just got a season 2 pickup from HBO Max :)
It's the trend with all Ridley Scott films. Nearly all of his movies are masterpieces and they take time for people to fully realize the genius behind them, ultimately being hailed as classics.
I will never forgive HBOMAX's cancellation of the unique series RAISED BY WOLVES created by Aaron Guzikowski and produced by Ridley Scott. Lamia interpreted by Amanda Collin father I will miss the children.
First time I heard this , I felt such a deep sadness in my heart and kept my eyes closed the whole time... There's something about this song that words can't explain , you just have to feel it.
The anchor the lyrics give to that timeless sadness is so poignant; It's describing the endlessly amnesiac cycles of the collective human experience. Building knowledge over centuries only to have it lost to time and circumstance is deeply sad, and horrifying still in that later civilisations misinterpret the original meaning and base their ideology on such a mistake; millions living out their lives on the bones of an animal that never was.
In the middle of losing everything me and my girl was sleeping on the floor, I found peace in this show. I later got evicted and now I visit this song 7 months later I have a new home, I loss everything but my mind. I’m in tears right now bc there is power in humanity, keep pushing and make your dreams come true. Some of us have no choice.
Lyrics: The door that finally opens With light flooding in Spilling out on the floor The core that never was Now it will be The bones of what was there before Every step, every beat Every thought, every breath Everything is longing Every wind, every wave Every sky, every cloud Every grave is longing Pulling you from the sky Just like love will do _ The door that finally opens With light flooding in Spilling out on the floor The core that nevеr was Now it will be The bones of what was thеre before Every step, every beat Every thought, every breath Everything is longing Pulling you from the sky Just like love will do Pulling you from the ground Just like love will do. - For you, Kirsty
The song feels like the result of humanity being unable to pull themselves together and set aside their trivial differences. Why does it feel so real...
@Jase Was just about to reply the same thing. It's true. Those overarching themes that are all too familiar to our existence + the great execution is why this series feels so substantial and poignant.
The title is missing the singers name: Mariam Wallentin, talented experimental jazz artist from Sweden. Her other stuff is pretty spaced out, but you can recognize her style of singing.
I loved This song at first..but now its stuck in my head and it makes me feel melancholy and almost on the brink of crying but not actually crying. Anyone else?
That's exactly what this is about and I'm glad to see someone else put it to words. It evokes such strange emotions. Hopeful yet tragic, terrible yet beautiful. Such a well chosen intro. Absolutely gripping.
it's like you feel the urge to cry but you can't because there are no tears left or because disasters toughened you so much up so we feel almost robotic. This is exactly how mother feels. She got stressed, angered, pressured and shocked a lot yet she can't feel tge relief of crying because she is just an android. Her bitterness not being able to feel like a human was revealed in episode 9
I was curious myself, and I have found a lot of her work today with the help of the sidebar on RU-vid. Thanks to the intuitive algorithms, and from what my county’s search results found, I can see work she has been part of, and it is mostly group projects under another name, or listed as a featured performer in the parenthetical. She does have some first name tracks o RU-vid, listed under her first name, but with a alt-rock last name, they are all very good songs, with a electronic modern pop style all her own to them. Depending on who you like they will remind you of other artists, perhaps Lisa Papineau, or Imogen Heap-esque(to me) feel about them. Your own search will land you on Her cover of a early 80s pop classic, which has a scratchy overlay vinyl effect and vocal tone to match, that will be a dead ringer for the Raised By Wolves theme intro. Now, With the viewer passion for this title track, and the desire for her to be more easily discovered, despite her name not being very easy to find on the song info, itself, and that being either an oversight on the part of those uploading the text for the official information on the OST, Listing information by the credit scroll crew, the choice of the composer to directly omit her off the song, a mutual decision between her and the composer. Now, what ever the reasons may have been, she needs to be prepared, that we are looking for her archived playlist, and that there is an interest in her voice beyond Sweden. So tell her to get her collection ready, because this theme has sparked a new rebirth of seekers that want to hear more of her music.
@Yves StLuCiA Gave me chills the first time I heard it, but Ben is amazing as well. The music Ben has done for the series Dark, which is quite possibly my favorite show ever, is exquisite. The music he composes hits me in this weird place of my mind, almost dreamlike. You're not wrong for pointing this out though. No one ever remembers Clare Torry's name for her work on "The Great Gig in the Sky". Not sure what the point for this comment was lol.
@@hamiltoncrete6741 Omg, WHY did I notice that connection? I loved the music from Dark and felt the music here felt similar at times but I guess I just forgot his name by the time I started watching RBW... Major props to him!
Making good scifi is hard...there is always something that drags down the whole - But this my friends, this series scores high in every aspect. Its one of the best series ever made - 10/10 from me.
Been listening to this on and off for a few months now when youtube decides I should listen to it and yes it's like a magnet, I can't help it, so timeless... and suddenly I'm on another planet ...
Amazing how a short tune put to a low res pencil style animation can pack so much power and emotion. This is probably one of the most captivating and emotionally engaging intros to a television show I've ever experienced. Kudos to the team that put this together.
Alright, now, listen carefully. A malfunctioning android, a Cleric, and a cat walk into a brothel. The malfunctioning android requests an android whore with mechanical skills. The Cleric requests a virgin with the knowledge of the Mithraic mysteries. But the cat... the cat can't decide what to ask for, so he turns to the malfunctioning android and the Cleric and asks for suggestions. The Cleric turns to the malfunctioning android and says, "How is it a cat can speak?" To which the malfunctioning android turns and says, "I am malfunctioning. None of this is actually happening. The cat doesn't exist, and neither do you." To which the Cleric then says, "Thank goodness. For a minute there, I thought I was losing my mind." You see, it's a paradox. I have many jokes tailored for geniuses like yourself.
I started crying during that scene and can't quite say why. Maybe it's because humanity made some silly religious war that polluted Earth so much you can't breath there and killed most of the Animals, and with that people need to leave it or die with everything
I honestly can't place the reason why, but it also makes me cry. I think the song combined with the art of the intro fully capture the mood and feel of this show, somehow on a deep emotional level. So far I am absolutely loving this show, art, and song.
When I first heard and saw the intro....My heart melted. The song speaks of the premise of the show itself. Love connects us all across every step every best and every breathe is looooooong.
This intro is mind blowing and soul moving. Its not just the song... the images on the screen with the song and those rocket explosion noises its just all so sublime. The only intro i have ever not skipped.
I can’t believe they canceled this show. It was an AMAZING storyline, great themes, characters, actors and actresses, beautiful aesthetic. I mean…just wonderful. I’ll forever love this song even if they canceled the show!
I have watched the series, did like it but never noticed this intro. Then, years later, I was listening to one of the classical music radio stations in my hometown, in Budapest, in the evening, doing house chores, and heard this song. Shazamed it, and here I am. For me, this song is something that tells life. From the beginning to the end, with all happiness and sorrow. Kid you not, I want this song to be played at my funeral. One of my top 10 songs, ever.
I have watched series for a long time, I think this is visually the best intro to a series and the best soundtrack. It is hypnotically good and it changes a bit over time. It is juts hauntingly beautiful to me, and the lyrics connect with so many aspects of the series. Perfection.
I find the costume design questionable since their resemble those of old 1970's and 80's scifi B movies but you can easily look past them once you appreciate the good acting of the main characters. Especially Mother and Father
In my opinion, This is The BEST Si-fi Show EVER, It's a MASTERPIECE, I WILL GIVE THIS SHOW A 11/11. Its so refreshing and ORIGINAL, It's simply AWESOME!!!!! This Shoe is a GEM!!
That's...really a perfect way to describe this song. I knew that's what I was feeling but I couldn't put it into words. It makes you feel very raw and...dare I say...human
When you listen to a song and it gives you chills you know it is something special Very beautiful and I can't get enough Knowing that this is the soundtrack of earth's demise makes it eiree and haunting
Lol our current issues are just overpopulation and idiocy. This song grabs at an emotional level, but not for these petty problems of today. Humanity hasn't even begin to truly suffer yet as of late, but true suffering will come. Give it time. When our very existence is threatened.
@@picklewart5382 can't even get into how precious this comment is. open your eyes Pickle Wart. It's already been happening to the people you aren't considering.
We need this kind of music and soundtrack that bring us to this magical world ... we feeling all ... the sadness and happines in the same time ... like we reach the meaning and the real purpose of humanity and life ... this serie need more fans than now ... 🔥💜

@@srta.fahrenheit1088 i was wondering about it, but every subtitles i've seem its "light" but life could make sense as well. I think its light, because, for me, shes referring to the universe and how the big bang (in the song as light) brings possibility of life and everything.
Could longing possibly be the word gone? Im not hearing the -ing in the song and gone seems to make more sense in the context of the show. Thanks for posting this!
I love how this song plays while we watch Beautiful destruction play out on screen 😍 it’s so dark and gives me chills ...I can imagine this song playing while I look out into the ruins of destruction
i searched the theme song cause i wanted to know if is it only me who when hearing it feels like im actually watching the end of the world . beautiful and terrifying at the same time. i feel like this is part of a dream im having, watching from far how its all ends. like somethings big just ended and hoping that i will get to experience it again. nice to know from the comments im not alone .
We have to have open minds. First of all this is science fiction. A story of someone’s imagination. We all have questions about why we are and where we are headed. Our spirit hopefully is guiding us to make the right decisions. It’s an interesting perspective.
So I'm addicted to this theme song. And after having listened to it on my tablet and on my TV with my surround sound setup....you gotta listen to it on something with good bass. It's a whole other level listening to it with the sound system and base settings tuned up as i normally have it. The boom of the atomic bombs in the beginning makes my room rumble and then the base of the music with that gals voice is even more beautiful i promise you.
I sobbed like a hurt baby when I first saw the full intro sequence with this playing, because it was a culmination of fears from generations: Humans had finally pulled the trigger. And then I deep-dived into the show, and my history teacher brain with it's love of alternate-history fiction started to pick up and assemble the clues: this is a what-if on a lofty scale, based on the "best-case" Roman Imperial scenario, where Christianity never took off, and instead the cults of Sol Invictus and of Mithras fused into the Imperial Cultus of Sol Mithras, which then dominated the earth far into (what would have been) our future. And yet! it is based further on a cyclical concept of human time, where we appear to be doomed to switch back-and-forth between two planets as we kill each, over and over, for millions of years. Bleak but beautiful.
