The most cinematic scene of 2022 television history. Loved that scene. And loved Sadie sink in that scene. Her acting made that scene more epic. Soundtrack and The stare of the vecna was equally contributing.
That "Mmmm what you say" and any other needle drops in TV shows tries to replicate the experience but nothing comes as close to this scene! Using the actual music playing in the scene as an instrument to help the character elevated it more!
It didn’t get better with each season. Season 2 was ok and Season 3 was awful and cheesy. Which is what made season 4 so unique. It’s the only show I can think of that started going downhill after the first season, just to surprise everybody with the best season yet towards the end.
@@TheSupernr17 I Never watched TV Series from it's very beginning to it's very end (I do watch a lot of movies tho) but Stranger Things was the first show in my life that I watched fully, and I agree with that, but I did watch One Piece and the Simpsons, but yeah, I don't watch things to judge, I just by luck find and watch the best of the best of shows of each category, Anime in One Piece (Watched Yu-Gi-Oh! and a bit of DBZ tho), adult cartoon show in the Simpsons and a TV Series in Stranger Things, Stranger Things is just so special and so unique that it is the first show in my life I watch fully.
My dad served in the US Army for many years and was deployed for quite sometime. One day he admitted to me he listened to Running Up That Hill all the time as well as other 80s music, to keep his spirits high. He told me how the song wanted him to literally run away from battle and back home. When he saw what Stranger Things did with his song (and Max’s song, too ☺️) he cried tears of nostalgia so much. It brought back a slew of memories while in Iraq. It was a brutal time for him and many others and there’d be days where he’d sit and think about life, death, and if he could keep at it or not. He already knew it was a powerful and emotional song but he loves how much the show honored it. He especially loves the added instrumentals and it truly conveys how life was on the battlefield. Beautiful song and powerful scene! ❤
i wish i could believe that. every person has their breaking point and im pretty much past mine. it doesnt matter how much i cry out for help, nobody cares. :(
I never noticed that they hinted Max would die this season because she is the only one looking back while everyone is looking ahead into the future. Obviously Lucas is looking at Max because he can't deal with losing her.
Since I was little my mum always played this song and honestly I couldn’t really appreciate it until a few years ago this is an amazing tribute to the song it’s beautiful and so perfect.
I was just out of college. My g/f's brother worked in a record shop. He was always letting her in on the cutting edge alternative music. We played Kate Bush on repeat. She has the soul which rivaled pop music. So thrilled to hear Kate Bush again in the ether.
Beautiful orchestration. The original, without orchestration, is magnificent in its own right. However, this orchestration, without taking away from the original, adds a new layer of drama to the song. Well done! ❤
Eleven will always be that little bit extra challenging to attach to as she has superpowers. Even though they did a great job at making her relatable, that superhuman aspect gets in the way when compared to the other characters who have to rely totally on their wits to survive. They are all such engaging and intriguing characters.
There have been quite a lot of versions of this song with a number of rearrangements for the included orchestral mix ever since Season 4 came out….all of them sound really amazing, but this version really proves to be the best one to me.
It doesn't hurt me You wanna feel how it feels? You wanna know, know that it doesn't hurt me? You wanna hear about the deal I'm making? You (if I only could be running up that hill) You and me (if I only could be running up that hill) And if I only could Make a deal with God And get him to swap our places Be running up that road Be running up that hill Be running up that building If I only could, ooh Start: You don't want to hurt me But see how deep the bullet lies Unaware that I'm tearing you asunder And there's a thunder in our hearts, baby So much hate for the ones we love? Tell me, we both matter, don't we? You (if I only could be running up that hill) You and me (if I only could be running up that hill) You and me won't be unhappy (if I only could be running up that hill) And if I only could Make a deal with God And get him to swap our places Be running up that road Be running up that hill Be running up that building If I only could, ooh, ooh Come on, baby, come on, come on, darling Let me steal this moment from you, now Come on, angel, come on, come on, darling Let's exchange the experience, ooh And if I only could Make a deal with God And get him to swap our places Be running up that road Be running up that hill With no problems And if I only could Make a deal with God And get him to swap our places Be running up that road Be running up that hill With no problems If I only could Be running up that hill If I only could Be running up that hill If I only could Be running up that hill If I only could Be running up that hill If I only could Be running up that hill If I only could Be running up that hill If I only could Be running up that hill
Holy heck 1 million views ! I made this mix because I loved both TOTEM and Rob Simonsen versions of the song so much and thought that both worked perfectly together, and I'm really happy if I can please those who feel the same way 🤘 (I have also seen many demands about posting this version to Spotify or Deezer, unfortunately I can't since I do not own those tracks... ) Edit : And it's now 2 millions... You guys are insane ❤

It brought back a slew of memories while in Afghanistan. He especially loves the added background instrumentals. He knew it was a powerful and emotional song, but he loves how much the show honored it ❤ So thank you for uploading it! Beautiful song and scene
Ive never seen a single episode of stranger things....let this comment be proof its not just your love for the show *This song is just a certified bop on its own*
i love this song so much. I never post comment... But i play a table top RPG Vampire of the Masquerade and for the final session in the biggest climax to the final ending, my Story Teller played this in the last moments. I have nothing but amazing memories and physical chills now for this song version. Thank you for making an already beautiful campaign fly beyond words! Music is art and i will never forget the emotions this brought
Season 4 was the infinity war for stranger things 🔥 season 5 will be the endgame for stranger things. Hoping we hear running up that hill again sometime in season 5

That was me 2 years ago after I cut my wrist because my ex was trying to take my kids and the home we lived in I thought all was lost and yeah I did it but I woke up and said No more!
