In this video I am fitting spacers to raise the height of the front mudguard on my Royal Enfield Himalayan. If you regularly ride off-road or in muddy conditions doing this will help save mishaps.

I did mine a few weeks ago. Only problem I have one of the OEM bolts stripped head when undoing. I had to dremel the head to put a new slot in it.

Hey man, this with lifting the mudguard is a good idea, but the plan to use the rims in future with a tubeless - kit , it's a bad idea. The rims are not for tubeless. They are unsuitable for tubeless tires. At first it's dangerous when the tire slips off, mostly suddenly, and than: If it's an accident, its's only your mess!! You need rims with "H2", those in the Himalayan are only "H1". H 2 : In the area, where the tire is rests, it's between the horn and second hump inside the the rim to hold the tire Next is: The horn of the rim must hold the air. I think, this "very good quality" of royal enfield is not really good enough to hold the air -pressure for longer time inside the tire. Take a critical look on the welds! Tubeless ist only with the right rims possible. There must be noticed: "2.5 x 21 H2" as type, or so.... on the rims, and the spokes are outside the bed.. It's not correct to make a tape inside the rim and clos it to holdthe air - pressure.... A shit idea, very unreliabel. Take the money and go for a good supper with your wife. Please think about it now critically. A lot people make it, but no one tells anything about the following accidents!! Stay healthy, best wishes, Peter

Only concern if you put tubeless on is if you run very low pressures. Normal pressure should not be a problem.

@@esrider7765 sorry, you're wrong. The problem is to hold any pressure in the tires and the tires on the rim.

And they still work well. Just look at numbers of videos here where people have done conversion without problems

That makes no sense, the rim is holding the same psi either with or without a tube. If it was a truck at 120 psi then maybe, only maybe a problem - but not at 30psi

Coverted my Himalayan wheels to tubeless 2 years ago, no problems in 15,000 miles with tube type tires.
