It happened on his property. He’s extremely old so duh, he’d naturally be very fearful with a stranger banging on his door. He knows he’s vulnerable. It was nothing more than a tragic situation for both of them. It’s not like the old guy was out gang banging. He was at home, I’m guessing alone too, it’s bizarre how so many people can’t put themselves in his situation and imagine what that was like for him as an elderly person at home, feeling threatened.

@@angelwings7930 his home has been destroyed and his elderly wife who was living in assisted care/nursing home was being harassed. The lawyers moved her to a new undisclosed location. This man is 85 years old he can’t return to his home and had to have an escort if he’s in public.

Brain injuries are complicated. He'll probably never be the same again. He looks great externally, but he'll have complications that can't be predicted. Each case is different. I'm very happy to see that is is recovering and I hope he will continue to improve. He's got great familial support and community support.

@@baddogone42 Where did you get the information that Ralph had never been there before ? He's at least a street lost for a wrong address. Did he go on foot, bike, or car. That information isn't provided either. I mean I grew up, had 2 brothers, quite often Mom & Dad sent me over to the neighbor's house to get them for dinner or whatever the parents wanted them for. I was younger than Ralph, but I knew where my brothers were being watched by a parent, blah blah, blah. And quite often in this day & age of the telephone, sometimes you can phone or text and make arrangements for the children to be sent back home or even brought home ? We both can assume all we want with limited information. But you're telling me a HS aged kid gets lost like that ? Shows up at the man's house when 10 PM is the old guy's ritual for bed time. Like I said, we don't know what was happening with the neighborhood children at the old man's address ? Has he been the victim of vandalism. I have kids in my own neighborhood that have vandalized properties, even harassed the elderly. It's not too far fetched a reach to think that today's kids behave one way in front of Mom & Dad, but around the corner they're a**h*l*. Case in point, just read a local story where a 13 year old broke into a new construction home. He clogged the toilets, then disabled the flush mechanism in the toilets, he flooded a $ 300K house. He made a video of it. Another neighbor informed the local police. When questioned with parent's permission. He lied about breaking & entering, then when he was videoing the police as they interviewed him, but before he started recording, he deleted the video, they were able to recover the video off his smartphone. now he's just a liar & felon at age 13. Another, a couple years back there was a home invasion just down he street. They claimed they were there for a $ 400 drug deal. Anyway there was a 32 year old & 3 15 year olds, 3 of the 4 apprehended, the other 15 year old, they don't know who he is or where they found him. Anyway, 2 of the 3 15 year olds, have grand theft auto criminal records form as early as when both were 10 years old. Let's not play the race card without all the facts beyond the coincidence that Ralph is HS aged teen & black & the old guy is 84 & white. Because even what the old man said to him was "Don't come around here again." Does "again" imply that Ralph had been there before or a 1st time and "Again" meant once was more than enough ? And the old guy didn't use the "N" word when he said what he did. I get that using the "N" word would leave little doubt for racism. Not using the N-word, may or may not be telling of racism just the same. But one would have to be a mind reader or know the old man & a history of racism to make that assumption. I just see an elderly man that gets around with a cane. Quite often that would make him an easy target as a victim. Every neighborhood has it's share of crime. I've seen some very bright kids get caught doing something dumb before. Kids will kids I guess, maybe Ralph is innocent of just being at the wrong address, but like I laid out, it doesn't make sense to be that lost in your own neighborhood. That's if he has lived here for quite some time. Yet the media isn't coming forward to tell all the facts & details of this. That's gaslighting reporting. And how often has media done that, run with a story without all the details & facts ?

Exactly. It was his property after all and he was fearful. It was a confused situation. The kid didn’t belong there, even though he was there innocently enough. Sh** happens. That’s one of these situations. Elderly people are famous for not thinking clearly and they’re fearful because they know they’re vulnerable. He’s probably got a certain amount of dementia. They have destroyed his home. Vandalized it. His wife who was in assisted living care was being harassed and had to be moved to an undisclosed location. Lester cannot go anywhere alone. His attorneys had to file a protective order. I’m so disgusted
