In this video, we remove and replace a wheel bearing hub assembly in a 2013 Ram 2500. This job is very similar for all Dodge and Ram trucks from about 1993 to present.

Thanks for the shout out 😃I absolutely love my hub shocker too. You can't live with out it a salt belt state. It breaks the rust bond between the bearing and knuckle easily!

I took a couple of clamps a chunk of 2x6 and a big socket and put that on it then gave it a couple lite taps and tightened it as I went. It came right off. Piece of cake. Easiest part of the job.

Trying it on another Dana 60 and it didn't budge the hub at all and I'm very good at swinging big hammers. I'm at the point where I ordered an 20 ton hydraulic ram and low profile ram. Basically an porta power with low profile ram and also a huge puller. Sometimes you gotta go big

I now have an abs light that was on after completing. It was in on start up. I did start the truck a few times with the sensor unattached to turn the wheels. Does it have to recalibrate?

Thanks! Yes, the hoist will lift a truck very high. I had some extra ceiling height in this shop so I went with a 15' hoist. That way I could lift a box truck if need be.

It certainly wouldn’t hurt. They likely have the same amount of miles on them.

How much harder is it on a rusty northern dodge? you made it look easy! Worth doing yourself or paying someone else to swear at it?

I'm working on my cousin's 02 2500 at the moment he's from up in Dayton OH and I can tell you that we've heated beat used Jack's tried the tricks off you tube and beat and beat and beat needles to say I'd rather pay to have it done than to deal with this hassle absolutely the worst rusted wheel bearing I've EVER PUT MY HANDS ON. Also every single video including Google was wrong about the sizes of sockets you need as well 14mm 12point hub assembly 16mm 12point caliper bracket 1 3/4 axle castle nut GOOD LUCK

@@MrMesha123 I just tackled this job. It was a bitch getting the hub off had to use the ol power steering trick with four bolts to get it out haha. It Was about 5-6 hours with a buddy for both hubs with beer breaks ha. if I I didn't have any help it would have been worth paying someone else to swear at it lol.

Why do these Ram 2500s go threw so many of these bearings!? Are other 3/4 Ton trucks the same way?

I've got a 2000 Ram 2500 and have 324k on the original hub bearing, ball joints, and tie rods. The tie rods are still fine and hubs just starting to go, but the ball joints are shot.
