RAM Power Wagon Lifted on Carli Pin Top Suspension System - This Truck is Built for Overlanding

It's been awhile since we've worked on a Power Wagon at EPIC as they are somewhat rare in our area of the world. In this video, we take a 75th Anniversary RAM Power Wagon and install a Carli Suspension Pin Top System, King Shocks and all. Due to the client's load requirements with the Smartcap and other gear for overlanding, we used Carli's R2 rear coils. In keeping with the bead lock ready OE wheels, we replaced the rubber with Toyo Open Country AT3 in a 37" diameter.
The result? This full size truck rides wonderfully and is ready for the trails. Ride quality and handling greatly improved. If you're looking for a Carli system for your RAM truck, hit us up.

Just picked up my 2024 PW today. Installed 35” Toyo AT3. Also a set of RC power steps. I’ll build a set of rock sliders that can easily bolt on and off. I’ll add some stuff to it.

Thuren suspension by far the way to go with hd rams. There’s a reason why everyone has his rear track bar kit and if you don’t know already, his new predator kit is the biggest game changer to these trucks

People forget that the PW already has many of the things people add that would drop the payload on other trucks. For my PW build i will add the R2 rear coils, a rear Thuren track bar and upgrade shocks the 5112 or 6100 series Bilstiens.

The PW 12000lb winch is underrated, if for some reason you needed to rebuild it the part numbers are for a 15000 model🧐, also it’s a reverse rotation from a standard Warn.

That is a great looking truck. I went a slightly different way with my suspension for my PW. Used the Thuren suspension primarily with Carli R2 coils and Carli end sway bar links with much cheaper Fox 2.0 IFP shocks. Those Kings are awesome but definitely pricey. I am just climbing rocks and trails at slow speed so the remote reservoirs would probably be overkill for me but they would definitely be nice to have... I have a video of the install on my channel. Also, I believe that the wheel travel increase is the same with the Carli kit you installed and the one that I had installed.

Picking up a 2024 hemi power wagon in a week. Last ram lifted had a Carli pre runner on a ram 3500 Diesel with 38.5’s . Amazing… Close to you. Projects Diesel rubicon, now this new one. Time to meet up.

Carli King lift, suspension, and shocks, five 37" tires and rims, S Pod controller, LED lights, throttle response controller, dual ARB onboard compressors, arb retracting step-up, S&B cold air intake and filter, rear bluetooth airbags, air chucks front and rear, Backflip tonneau cover, and slide-out bed for easy access. How much you think all that cost above and beyond the MSRP of a Power Wagon? Well, in 2022 it cost $30,000usd so all y'all better start saving your money.

I believe you can get Ram 2500 diesel with some kind of « power wagon » package. Not the real thing but pretty close!

Yes its the Rebel 2500 Package but it doesn't have lockers, swayer disconnect, 2" lift or the winch just a really sick trim package without chrome.

I have a 1500 Rebel, but the Power Wagon is my truck crush. But it's just so large. Did ya'll ever come up with a front diff brace solution for the 1500s?

Yes, after driving this Power Wagon, it is most certainly our truck crush. We did our own bracket for our own Rebel and a few others but we're not producing it as a product or anything. Most fabricators worth their salt can figure it out in a few mins ;-) Cheers from the team at EPIC!

I think weight would play a major roll for me as well as width when selecting an overland package. I know you mentioned that 12,000lbs wench but I’m lazy and think you would be doing a lot more wenching with that big heavy truck. I would rather pack light and wench less but far be it from to argue with the Ginger 😂

What ever happened to you designing a fix/reinforcement for the front diff you broke on the Rebel a while ago... I seem to remember you finding a weak point in the diff design

We designed our own fix. As we're not a suspension company and don't plan to be (insurance costs are crazy), we won't be making it for sale to the public. Any fabricator worth their salt can take a look at our RAM video and make you up something similar. We also just shot another episode of our Podcast (out in a few weeks) that covers off what exactly we did to strengthen up the front diff housing. Cheers from the team at EPIC!

So looks like 37s fit on the stock PW wheels with the beadlock? I believe those come with the “wheel package”. And with that additional lift there’s no rubbing? Or did he have to do some on the pinch welds still? Also, why the Pintop vs the Dominator system?

Are those the 3.0 or 2.5 kings i mustve missed it in the video? Also i want everything you guys put in there. Is there a complete parts list or link to buy from? Was thinking back country kit but wouls rather have the kings 2.5s seems the 3.0 dominators need more modification to fit and ride well

Probably because the 6.4L is lighter and quicker off the line. But yes, a power wagon with a cummins would be da bomb. Cheers from the team at EPIC!

The extra 1,000 lbs the diesel weighs would degrade a Power Wagon's off-road performance. Remember, the PW wasn't built for towing or carrying massive loads, it's all about off-roading and no full-size pickup truck can come close to the Power Wagon.

I have a ‘22 PW on 37’s with a Carli suspension package and I’m just under 7ft. at the highest point (unloaded running about 40psi in the tires).

I have a ‘22 PW on 37’s with a Carli suspension and have no performance loss from stock. Same gas mpg, no power loss, same acceleration and braking, everything is rock solid.
