Thanks. I have a exact same build and looking to upgrade to SSD from hdd and upgrade ram as well. I have two questions: I have hdd still on board and is it possible to use both on this build? And how would I install my current window to SSD drive? I dont need to bring over everything I have on my current hdd. I just need to bring over windows os.
John Doe check out my description section I explain what I kinda did to clone/image the original 1TB onto the 250GB SSD back when I bought it. I used a free program and have done it multiple times for all my PCs. It’s important to repartition HDD to be less than or equal to new SSD. Once that is completed, format old drive and add like I did this new SSD in this video. I actually have 3 drives now. The 250GB SSD System, 1TB HDD storage, and new 1TB SSD in this DIY.
Thank you for adding all the extra parts to buy in the description! Video is beginner proof and very easy, i wouldnt have known these parts were missing before i found your video. Very very helpful, my favorite video regarding this so far.
Probably easier for a child to upgrade the memory. Just did it myself, and the hands of a five year old would have been useful dealing with the tiny amount of space to move around in!
Awesome vid! I have the 3650 myself and the only question that i have that the video didn't show is how did you get the swinging portion (where the harddrive is) open to access the RAM?
Where do u get the hard drive caddy to hold 2.5 drive & the power cord to hold 2 drives i have 1 3.5 spin drive now & DVD rom don't have anyway to hold the drives in 2.5 & cables.
Do you have the SSD as the main operating system drive? The system drive as SSD makes big difference. But remember this is a 4 year old machine now so even with the i5 processor, don’t expect gaming rig performance out of it.
I got a question I got the same computer and i drop it by accident like 2 feet or 3 away from the floor not to high and now when i play game's the fans sound like jet engines what should I do?
