@@djkjthe3rd185 unfortunately yes. 3.7 is typically good for the average person but with some of the builds I'm working on for my local drag racing competition I'm trying to keep 0-60's at around 2.8 or 2.7 seconds lol
@@CAL9919A not 100% sure but the F250 have the 6.2 6.7 and 7.3. They took that engine off of the ford mustang Shelby Gt500 and beefed it up for the Raptor R.
@Stormsniper fr. Never trusted ford after a wiring harness issue. Like how tf does a 2000's Ford f150 plat have a exposed harness along the bottom of the truck? Ford is the opposite of reliable.
@@stormsniper743 it literally competed in the Baja 1000 and finished a race where 40% of actual purpose built race trucks don't even finish. Also I've seen two Ecoboost motors have to be replaced both were in service vehicles for a local shop and were driven very hard and it went to 300k miles, pretty impressive for a service vehicle that gets. Driven by a bunch of different people who drive it like a bat out of hell.
@@stormsniper743 😂 in that case you know nothing about cars. Every company Chevy, Ford, Dodge makes good and bad engines and good/bad transmissions. That’s why you do research and never buy first generations upon release. I’ve had 4 fords in my life and all of them made it 200,000 miles minimum except for one at 170,000(tranny went out and I had to change it but to be fair it was frequently hauling)
The way he’s standing at the beginning those trucks look like they are RC cars in the thumbnail until I realized he was standing on the wheels and not behind them.
@Noah I drive one on a daily basis. it’s got a 25 gallon tank and it gets 12-13 city and touches 16 on the highway. Last time I towed my Jeep a few hundred miles on a flatbed it got 9mpg the whole way doing 70mph.
@@zakikahl6904 Ikr Rated and actual are 2 VERY different things. But i will say, my current vehicle has superceded the rated fuel economy several times. But its a nissan rogue CVT, so its not going to tow anything over 1000 lbs. Or even less since a hill can change the apparent weight and render this small payload capacity even smaller. And i doubt anyone wants to pop their cvt belt.
@@zakikahl6904 that’s “estimated” which usually is higher than you get in the real world driving. So maybe like 10mpg or perhaps single digit mpg. To get accurate mpg you need to calculate at the pump, miles driven/gallons of fuel=mpg.
Raptor R all day, it has true off road linked suspension, trailing arms and a Panhard bar, heavy duty coil springs and Fox Live Valve 3.1 shocks. supplementing the option to equip the truck with 37-inch tires.
It’s not all about sound. In terms of off road performance the Ford wins in every way. Approach and departure angle, suspension, tires, MILEAGE-so many people overlook the importance of gas mileage off road. Ok 700hp is cool but you will never use 700hp off road especially on 35s. 500 is more than enough. The exhaust sounds great in the ford, and honestly if you want something louder just get a corsa exhaust. Just my two cents.
@@EAGLINWRX you clearly just don’t get it us v8 guys logic doesn’t matter when it comes to engines all that matters is that deadly intimidating sound that feeling of freedom when u hear all 707 bald eagles go off the rip… if we wanted performance we’d be busy praising eletric cars theres just something about a v8 we have a little saying it’s not about the miles per gallon, it’s about the smiles per gallon, cry later at the pump live in the moment.
@@theforerunnerreclaimer newer ones too. They still have really bad transmission problems. My brother's grandpa had a 2019 ram 1500 classic and it's transmission went out after just 2 years of owning it. And ik the whole dodge transmission thing is supposed to be a joke but dodge really does make bad transmissions. And ford makes bad engines every once in a while still.. I feel like all 3 big American companies have their problems but from my own research chevy is the worst.
I’ve owned all the major brands but I’m loyal to Ford have 2 trucks now. My 2003 & 2004 f250s (7.3) lasted over 800k miles original engine no major repairs. No other truck has came close both my 150s had over 360k my 2 now one has 5000 miles and the other 187k both running strong. Only problem I had was my 06 with the 5.4 flex fuel they had bad timing chains mine went out at 161k bought an upgraded motor with the problems fixed put another 160k miles on it. There’s a reason Ford has been the best selling truck 50+ years
