I've waited a long time. I ordered a real one 3 weeks ago. It should be here next week. Hand made. I'm retired. It's a piece of art by a real craftsman. I can't wait.
Thanks for watching 🙏💯 it definitely is bet you can't wait for it would love the real thing but there very expensive but worth it👍hope you enjoy your new purchase
Your correct Mr lile is no longer with us,but lile knives still make the original rambo knife 1 and the mission knife rambo 2 but made by Vaughn Neeley which are as good they are still the best versions available to buy I would love them both but very expensive 👍
I've had mine by V.Neeley now for several months. Absolutely gorgeous. I've had several offers on it. Not in a million years would I sell it. It will go to my grandson when I'm gone. Just ordered the mini version of my knife. I saw it. I had to get one. Should be here soon. It's a novelty item. $50.00.
@@kevs2 I finally got the knife in the mail today. I love it. I can tell it isn’t the same exact level of quality as the Jimmy Lile version but for a replica it comes pretty darn close. Can’t complain. It could probably be used for light outdoor usage while camping or hiking but I definitely wouldn’t use it for any heavy duty purposes. Was yours sharp when you got it?
@@operatorgriz should be ok for light use,if you want to use it for survival you can get stronger version from other knife makers who make exact Rambo 1 copy but stronger then HCG version but these will be more expensive maybe starting at $500,I have one coming from Marcos bluneri the LS1 from commando look him up on RU-vid he makes beautiful Rambo knifes
I have a real one. After your great video I've decided to purchase the same one you have. I just ordered the mini version. I have a real tall display case. I'm going to setup a display. I'm also looking at a Greg wall. Picked up a cold steel recon tanto. It's really something. Its now my EDC. Have fun. Great job.
The only thing that really bothers me about this replica is that they use a bright green cord instead of the dark green one that is in the movie I don't understand why
Interesting how the sheaths of HCG knives get wrinkled. All three of my Hollywood knives are wrinkled. Even more interesting is that the hem of my United First Blood over 15 years old is still good.
Thanks buddy for watching the video👍👍👍👍....... Yea mine came with them wrinkles I think it's the leather they use just a complete guess I keep them little bags of silica beads in with the sheath to stop it drying out and I also put leather cream on them to look after them,no need to do that with the cnc2 mk9 sheath you can see and feel the difference straight away it's way better quality 💯💯👍but I do like the hcg knifes also they are good knifes aswell for collecting 👌👌and nice to show to people when they call to the house😂😂
@@kevs2 Yes. Certainly the actual Pohl Force sheaths are much better. I ordered one Mk9 cnc2 from the ¨Sword & More¨ website. I am hoping to arrive at my address in the USA and send it here, in Brazil. Did you know that Gil Hibben sells sheaths to those who have UC Hibben 4? I think I will order one in the future.
Hi Kevs Thanks for making video. I've been looking for First Blood knife for years and I always come back to that one you have I just think that one looks a bit cheap and crappy and I'd rather have no First Blood replica than a bad one if that makes sense. I always thinks the green thread on the handle looks wrong on that one. How does it look in real life? for 150 quid id take the punt I just don't want to end up with something that looks like a 20 quid knock off. What are your thoughts?
Thanks for watching Paul 🙏for the money you can't go wrong with the Hollywood collectables version it looks good in person and feels good in the hand,if it's only to have it for display and take it out and show your friends when they come over you will not go wrong, but if you want a more realistic version you can get them, take a look at my LS1 knife that Marcos bluneri did for me he also makes the movie accurate Version Rambo 1 knife looks so good but that will a bit more then £150 but would be worth it,then there are other version been made by different people but then your going to be going up to £800-1500
Thanks for watching 👍 they are all fantastic knifes but I really do love the pohl force have to say the quality and finish and holding them in your hand feels so good, the linen micarta handle feels very nice,so yes it's going to be the mk9 it just feels so good in your hand and we'll made and very sharp 👍💯🤣
@@kevs2 The MK9 is admittedly an Absolute Work Of Perfect Craftsmanship. I got the MK9 HCG version which I'm assuming isn't anywhere near the Pohl original, But I love it. Recently have thought of collecting All the Rambo knives Again. I Like the Rambo 3 knife it's a True Hibben Bowie Design Gil Hibben is a Legend his Bowie's are Top Tier Quality Blades. Anyways my friend You've a Great collection it's motivated me. I sell movie Memorabilia and have an Original First Blood Cinema poster from the 80s which I'd like to pair with the First Blood knife and professionally frame it, I've seen the same poster Online for $3000 it's got an amazing Presence. Thanks Kev, I subbed straight away mate 👍. Cheers
@@matj1580 thanks mat☘️👍💯I was going to get the hcg version myself it's a very good knife aswell good steel, yes I like movie memorabilia myself 🤣like the Conan swords I did a review on,I have to get the hibben IV to finish the collection must order that next, there all expensive,I had a big star wars collection I had life size jar jar and Darth maul, and had about 50 12inch star wars boxed never opened 1996 figures some rare fao Schwartz and jc penny exclusive, they have been funding my knife buying been selling them👍👍🤣
I had problems with accuracy with mine too. I have a real compass in my survival pack since I am a hiker and the Rambo knife compass is nowhere near as accurate as that one is. You could probably use it in a pinch if you had too but I wouldn’t trust my life too it.
But it says Rambo on the knife and the sheath. That’s just wrong. I’m sure the original wouldn’t have had the name across them. It’s a shame. And I’ve never understood any knife without a tang. Hey nice knife just the same.
What a crap knife, lol. Let me guess, the blade edge folds up as soon as you hit bone, the saw edge wears down to nothing the first branch you try to cut.
Thanks for watching 💯 each to there own😜it's a replica knife from a great movie for display what more do you need,if someone was to break into your house and you had to use it I don't think that they will be telling you that's a crappy knife 😜😂🤣
Point I’m making I guess is none of the Rambo knives are practical. Either pure display pieces or they’re so expensive for a functional one you wouldn’t even want to use it.
