This actually helps me because I'm currently homeless and ramen is a staple for me. I can easily pay 40 cents for a cup noodle, but you say I can get a better meal for only 10 cents more? And at the same gas station? I'm sold. Take my crusty change-sock.
If you don’t already know some places like goodwill and the Salvation Army sometimes offer free clothing that they can’t sell for whatever reason. If you need some fresher clothes it’s worth a shot.

Even worse, the ramen manufactured overseas in the US/Canada are much less spicier than the origin countries. I tasted Shin Ramen in Canada and Korea and the taste is at least 5 times more spicier but tastier in Korea.
I relate hard asf to when he's talking about the dry brick of Ramen... Grew up super poor and sometimes all you had was dry noodles. crush up the pack, pour in the seasoning and shake. You instantly had a snack that taste better than not eating lmao
First time I ever ate real authentic ramen, it was at a food cart. Right as I got my order it started raining, so I hurried to a table and started eating. I wasn’t very used to chopsticks though so it was taking me a little longer than usual. After a few minutes it really started pouring down rain, and the chef poked his head out of his cart waving his fist at me yelling “you better eat that fast or else the rain will dilute my broth!” I just laughed cause that’s such a reasonable, but silly thing to say 😂

The mouth/throat is where much of the capsaicin gets broken down, but only if you spend the time chewing and letting your saliva break it down! Likely, to avoid the worst of the spice, you're swallowing much sooner than Charlie is. As a result, Charlie is dealing with the "spice breakdown" in his mouth, while you deal with it much later in the digestion process. If you don't want flaming bathroom breaks after spicy food, spend more time chewing before swallowing!
I don't think the chewing/swallowing has any important relation to this, I can't handle spicy, if I eat it and its really spicy I actually try to swallow it as fast as possible to get rid of it, but I never understood the "you're guna have a bad time later in the toilet". My stomach might burn just like my throat but nope not the poops.
The buldak noodles are AMAZING. I'm seriously addicted. I can't imagine eating them like normal ramen noodles though. The steam will basically pepperspray you in the eyes. You have to get the square packets with the sauce packet in them. Then you boil the noodles until almost ALL of the water is gone and put the packet in. SO GOOD. After a while, you get used to how hot they are.
yea, I thought I had a good spice tolerance (have done those Scoville pepper challenges and beat them without too much crying), but that 2X either comes up on you slowly, or hits you in the face like it did Charlie right away. The pain is worth it, it's too good.
Absolutely. I used to be completely unable to handle my spice, but after my girlfriend introduced me to Buldak, I noticed my spice tolerance increased like crazy. I don't jump as high as 3x Spicy, but the spice doesn't feel like razorblades on my tongue anymore
I'm disappointed that they didn't try ANY good ramen. I was waiting for them to pull out something like Nissin Demae, y'know, the Ramen that comes with real seasonings and sauces rather than only artificial flavor powder. Mi Goreng is one of those, too.

When I was stationed in Okinawa, '89-90, I ate a LOT of ramen. My technique was to boil water, pour it into a silo cup with the ramen and flavoring, mix it, then cover it, and place it in the freezer for a few minutes. Perfect every time, and the noodles properly hydrated.
@@adam.wild. well, that's the secret sauce in perfect ramen. Noodles fluffed and temperature just right to eat. The freezing cold air causes the hot water to steam the ramen
@wtflolomg While cold air can help cool down food more quickly, to steam ramen, I'd think the freezer isn't the best tool. By the time it takes to walk to the freezer and back, it would cool on its own. The low temperature in a freezer would alter the texture and taste.

You can become a faceless RU-vidr and make the same videos you’re probably thinking about making. However if you’re talking about vlogging or pranks whereas you need an actual camera. I'm enjoying a bowl of Shin Ramyun Black with beef and red cabbage as I watch this. Pro tip: if you fry ground beef before adding the sauce, it will magically absorb some of the spiciness and make it more palatable, but still very flavourful.
All the Buldak ramen flavors are S TIER, and the Jjajang/black bean is my favorite spicy-to-flavor ratio. Shin ramen is my favorite in terms of more classic and "traditional" ramen though.

There was one flavor I really liked but it was only sold for a limited time where I used to live it was chicken vegetable that one slaps and I wish they bring it back.
Sapporo Ichiban is a fantastic base for adding your own ingredients, especially pork. It’s god tier if you keep the noodles firm and have little water at the end. Carried me through college.
28:57 that's low end version for hong kong, most people buy/eat curry flavor and they often sold out (not cheese curry! It is worst flavor). I recommend mushroom soup and Clam Chowder too
Pro tip, you can pass the Audio though NVidia's background noise removal AI tool, and it wont compromise the sound of the voices. Would def help during the rain season.
I personally like to crush up the noodles in the bag, put in the seasoning, shake it up, and eat it like chips. It's really good, and I recommend it to anyone who has no chips, but craves the crunchy-salty goodness of one.

I literally only eat Shin Black. It has twice the flavor of regular Shin because it has two broth packets, and on top of that, I’ve always felt that Shin Black had a more subdued, complimentary spice instead of regular Shin’s in-your-face spice level. I genuinely think they would’ve loved it had they tasted it, but they only had Shin Red
