I know these are just our opinions but I beg to differ, Sarah Brightman was the best Christine and Lon Chaney Sr was the best Phantom ever! He even did his own ghastly makeup for the role! And as hideous as he looked he still made the character so alluring and tragic.
Ramin has that predatory way about him, the manner in which he walks behind Sierra w that stalking-lion quality …. So good! That’s why he’s my favorite phantom!
i just realized how well suited ramin would be for the role of eric in the little mermaid :o he actually looks like the original eric. aaaah id love to see him and sierra together in that production.
Think he actually said Utae actually /grammarnazi. Edit: While lecturing you on your grammar I managed to use "actually" twice in the same sentence. Time for bed I guess.
I was scrolling through the comments when the video was playing and everyone was talking about the Japanese phantom and i was like what... Then i scrolled back up to the video and suddenly "UTAU!"
Imagine if japanese guy was a total surprise to sierra...she'd be singing ahhhhhhahahahahahhhhahhhhahhhhhahahhhhhahhhhhhhhhh and be thinking like "who is this guy?" "What the heck is he saying?" "I should just continue singing."
my giggle fits are finally subsiding.......wow I hope if Sierra ever gets married that RJP makes it there .....speak now, or forever hold your....UTAE!!
I want Random Japanese Phantom to appear in everything unannounced. Think how much better he would make Spielberg movies, rap music videos, and the news.
DougieJR Not just Spielberg movies: "Obi-wan never told you what happened to your father." "He told me enough! He told me you killed him!" "No. I--" "UTAE!"
+Christine DaaéWannaB : Yup--and IMO, he can be MY Angel of Music any day...blows Michael Crawford out of the water...Ramin's got it goin' on when it comes to playing Erik: voice, hands, eyes, physical fitness level...AND...he actually plays guitar and piano IRL...For me, that entire combo is freakin' electric!
Oh gosh yeah the Nicole one was so awkward - every phantom was amazing and she was amazing but it was just ultra awkward to have four of them in that scene together telling her to sing for them....
Love this song, I found it like 6 months ago and now I've been going through a ton of versions of it on RU-vid and singing it nonstop! To those who say they don't like sierra boggess, I'm not sure why not because she's beautiful with an amazing voice :)
Imagine *if* Sierra didnt know about the Japanese Phantom, and while singing shes like: Who the hell is this guy??!?!? And I agree that the Japanese Phantom (while im sure hes brilliant in the japanese POTO) kinda ruined it. The "sing for me" part between Sierra and Ramin is my favourite part and i didnt get to see it:(
They are both good. Its just different styles. Also the actor could of singed it but he has to match it to the music. In other languages they change the song so it can be sung in the other languages and still match the right time.
+Alicia Kwok I agree. Ramin is the best choice for Phantom. I mean I've heard everyone who did Phantom and his voice is the most pleasing, the most in tune with the drama and tension of music!
i have to say i love this opera.. i don"t watch opera and never thought of watching, but this one change my point of view.. i fall in love with the story line and these two actor and actress voice and acting. I love her voice when she just start doing the ahhhhhh thing.. And his voice is just sound do great like he really bring it out naturally.. gosh no words can describe what how great this musical play is and how much i have fall in love with this shoe.
Chills up anyone's spine when Ramin sang? I fell asleep during a Skype call when I had phantom on in the background. Ramin sang and BAM I was asleep. What was funny was my fiancé was on the other end.
@4:02 i SWEAR the japanese phantom looked at Ramin. and then ramin must've been giving him some sorta like death stare or something that said "she's MY angel of music" that must've made him run away like that........ WHO ELSE SEES THIS?????
Rierra performing POTO is ~everything~ under any circumstances, but their performance in the Classic Brits is something else. It’s really cool seeing how they grew, especially choreography and acting-wise, between this performance and that one.
If you've seen Phantom of the opera enough(I've seen it 15 times on DVD diff versions though and I'm going to see it live) you probably know what it means.
LOL! So here I am completely enthralled in this beautiful performance when all of a sudden this random Japanese man walks on stage and totally ruins it. I actually thought for a split second that he was not a part of the performance and was some random crazy guy that went on stage. XD
