I was there. He got a well deserved standing ovation. It was amazing to be there. I've seen him everywhere from the the Adelphi Theatre, London where I discovered him in Love Never Dies. He took my breath away. I went back to see it 8 more times. (And I cried every time.) Then crossed the pond again to see him in Les Mis (he made me cry in that too) and again at Royal festival Hall where son Jayden joined him. He still takes my breath away. He should come with warning to wear waterproof mascara!
Saw him today. He was BRILLIANT. I would see him as Jean Valjean 100 times over if I had the money. I'm very lucky I was able to see him live and if anyone has the chance, you should definitely take it because he's brilliant in the role and the musical itself is just as amazing.
He is good---a wonderful vibrato range to his voice---very much akin to the great Irish tenor who originated this role-Sir Colm Wilkinson-- none can surpass but Bravo to Ramin---an exemplary job
ramin is very very special. i am a dire hard colm fan, but however, ramin is as good and i cant believe i could ever said that about another jvj. this guy is now in broadway playing jvj and he will be a les mis legend like colm
If you ever have the opportunity to see Karimloo on stage, take it. I daresay his rendition I saw last week on Broadway was even better. I think he has refined and enriched his performance in the past year and a half, and was the best Valjean I have seen. Total immersion in the role...
I love Ramin as both Valjean and Enjolras. Typecasting-wise, he fits better with Enjolras, but I absolutely love the sound of his voice with Valjean’s songs. Gorgeous.
Seeing him live is a dream of mine. As a vocal student he is my inspiration. I literally listen to him everyday. Whether it be Phantom, Les Mis, Love Never Dies or videos like this his voice inspires me to try and get to that next level
if he comes back to the UK and does this show in the West End, we are buying tickets to see it again!! haha i can't tell you how many times i've seen this show.. all over.. Canada included (where i saw it for the firs time and decided "I WANT TO DO THEATRE") would love to work with him one day!
Love Ramin so much :3 So glad he's made such a big impact in the States as well, he deserves it. He's such an amazing performer. Btw if you like Ramin singing this, try listening to Alfie Boe as well, he was good in Les Mis. And if you like Phantom, try listening to John Owen-Jones. Ah wish I'd seen Ramin this close!
if you here colm wilkinson sing( Bring him home). Them have have ramin karimloo sing the same song /colm has a voice that carry you a way? what do you think?
I've heard and seen both, and it's all great and a matter of opinion, but I think Ramin is right now giving the best performance as Valjean in my experience. As I said above, he has grown into the role and is now much better than the video from 2012.
