This is from "Live aus Berlin", which was my first exposure to Rammstein, just with a different song (it was "Asche zu Asche"). I love how they looked and that's where my love for Richard was born. 🙈🖤 I mean, I liked the music too, but I was too young, didn't understand anything and it was something completely new for me. I just knew I liked that guy with silver hair and white eyes and his voice in the song I mentioned... I loved everything about him. But when they released "Mutter" album I completely fell in love with the band too. I love "Live aus Berlin", it is nostalgic to me. You should check more songs from it, like "Heirate Mich" and "Asche zu Asche". Thank you for one more Rammstein reaction! Love for both! 🖤

This is my Rammstein's favorite song... it is very simple yet heavy and at the end the long note "liebt" he performs and holds is just .... idk, comparable to orgasm :D especially it is back in the day when Till wasn't really singing very good, this was on top. even now he has some struggles singing it. I enjoy singing it so much in my car blasting sound when driving :D

The "white silvery hair" was from using the baby diaper rash cream Desitin in their hair as a fire retardant. I worked the band's first 3 US concerts...with waist-length hair. I often had to be very close to the stage...you either coated your hair and eyebrows or they just burned from the sheer heat!

The song "Du Hast" is from the album "Mutter" in 2001, and the song "Bestrafe Mich" is from the first album in 1995 "Herzeleid". And the show you're watching is called "Live aus Berlin" 1998. In my opinion, in one of the songs of this show, Till's daughter will appear on the stage.

Both "Du Hast" and "Bestrafe Mich" are from Sehnsucht, not Mutter or Herzeleid. Also it's not Tills daughter that appears on stage, it's Richards.

Don't forget that there was a Holocaust in German history.. this song transcends the personal and I think is that message of repentance that came 50 years after. There is nothing else that can explain its utter sadness and the feeling of peace that it leaves you with, because it is the greatest act of repentance in the history of music.

It's quite the opposite as defiance in the face of punishment, meaning that one person or (German) people should never deny their own nature or apologize for their excellence or strength to appease others, even when it overwhelms the weak or offends the envious, despite all condemnation. It rejects all apology and shame, instead shouting, "Punish me!"
