There's a mania in Till's voice on the official recording that really couldn't be replicated live. The live version has a more physical depiction of the mania perhaps. Either way, it's such an unsettling song. I can remember the first time I heard it and thinking wtaf is going on here. It's the only Rammstein song that my son ( who isn't a Rammstein fan) refused point blank to listen to because it's so unnerving. Till has this uncanny ability to paint pictures with just words and emotion that's pretty much unmatched and of course the music fits the mood of the song completely.
