Vandammes movie lionheart/ wrongbet should've been about him. He was true to his calling. Most good fighters I know are like him; resolute, focus, determined but humble and quiet ordinarily... Until they click tht is; it's like a mental switch. Turns off at t end of t fight but always sitting there at t ready. These guys are self reliant, self motivated, tunnel visioned. Hard workers, give 110% everytime. They know it's 90% in t preparation which is why you see in t training its always fierce and full on as if visualising internally t fight as always on; present, must be always at t ready. They are not always fighters in t ring. But they are always at t ready. They will seek t peaceful solution first. Until there's no other way, then they click, and it's do or die. I've seen tis on t streets; t world was lucky to capture it in this man on screen in t ring. Same as t likes of Ali, Bruce, Pac man to name a few. R.I.P Warrior

Amen to that brother, maybe is silly but I miss him, somehow I see him as a league on his own. A true warrior, super fast, strong and with so much heart. That even modern guys are not build that way, is wasn't for fame, it was like a Coliseum warrior, something else. 🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌

@@johnlocke9609 it did take a toll on his body. He had a lot of stuff going on inside his body with his bones and all... Modern guys try to avoid that as best they can. But Dekkers lived up to his name. Hard as a diamond. And no not silly at, i miss him too.

You get it, I was thinking that it was a little bit silly, that I get emotional, but I'm not an easy guy to have strong feelings, but somehow I see him as a true warrior. Like...not expecting to live another day, so he gave everything he got. Also very tough, not even in my VERY good old days, I would dream to have so many Coliseum quality crazy moments. 😢
