Did your ever see his younger picture!? He was fucking lovable!(no gay) I mean, i love to have him as pet in a big, man-sized cage, you know. but only that young DD, not 20+dd
@Ciaran Moran213 you need proof? wanna test with your daughter if you have one, or sister huh? What?, do you usually around on the internet and excuse stranger like that huh? Shame you need to judge random strangers you will never know in life or have never known And as for your so call "proof of gay", there's no solid/logical (or psychologically hinted/sign or behavioral science proven) envident of me being gay anywhere in my previous comment. You know we human beings as the most intelligent species on the planet interact events differently each with their is style right? You should also noted that I'm not a native speaker (this is on public YT comment section afterall) Indeed I quoted *no gay* in my comment just becuz cunts like you who love judging strangers online lmao But you peoples could anyway find loopholes in strangers and bash on them. It's really shame
Looks like I'm experiencing one of those Mandala effect things here. I watched this same video about 6 months ago and distinctly remember Dee Dee saying "My wife would kill Me". Not "My wife would punch them in the nose."
Whenever I feel depressed I watch this and it always makes me laugh. The people who think Regis and Kathy are disrepecting the Ramones don't get it. It's New York humour, and the Ramones are clearly enjoying themselves. Thank you for posting this.
depois que conheci RAMONES me curou de muitos sentimentos ruins e JOEY sem querer me ensinou a lutar pela vida e por meus sonhos ele foi inspiração e motivação ❤
Joey gained so much confidence to really be himself throughout the years-so nice to see the boys really enjoying themselves here. I had a huge smile on my face throughout. Thanks for uploading!!
I noticed that too, though it was a motörhead shirt at first, but there's a picture of a skull. The text font is even similar. Maybe motörhead stole the idea.
In the mid '80's to early '90's a use to see Joey Ramone practically every weekend at baseball card and sports collectible shows in New York. I only really spoke to him once in an extended way, but he was really cool to me always.
Regis, a NYC native, had to have heard of them while in NYC for all those years, and even if he hadn't, Regis always tried to pull it off with class if he didn't.
My dad grew up next door to Joey's aunt and uncle and he knew all the guys really well. I can promise you all that there is NOTHING scripted. Especially Joey. He hated to see people down and sad. The thing is though, he did random stuff to make you laugh. God I miss those guys.
Joey is so sweet and iconic; I love their natural down to earth personalities; they worked with Phil Spector and they liked him - interesting retrospective; 'Teenage Lobotomy' - just gimme the first lyrics my ass - but 'Dee Dee's the heart throb!' -
I've been watching some interviews and no matter how lame the show or interviewers where, Ramones are always fun to watch. They where always themselves and had no "cassette" on. Most of all Jhonny, who always said what he was actually thinking, no matter what.
+Manuel Flores Joey and his mom were interviewed by Geraldo Rivera, #1 douchebag journalist, and it was still great. The Ramones were that cool and charismatic.
Eve Nam Johnny and Joey hated each other for a long time towards the end of their careers. When Joey was in the hospital before he died, Johnny didn't go visit him, even when Marky told him the window was closing. Johnny told Marky "he's not my friend" and never went.
Its weird but when they were still together as a band, it seemed like they would always be around. I still cant get over the fact that the original lineup has passed away. I'm sure glad Marky, CJ, and Richie are still with us.
I feel the exact same way. Thought they would outlive freaking roaches and play forever. Such a tragic shock when Joey died and then Dee Dee, Johnny and more recently, Tommy. When they died, a part of rock n' roll died. No band will ever touch these guys.
Take a peek, then, at this article I wrote about Johnny's love of baseball, but also includes my account of the night they invited me to their Houston hotel room in 1978: therunnersports.com/the-ramones-patriotic-punk-johnny-ramone-baseball-barre-chords/
They are so nice and decent. So sad they are gone. I have been to the grave of Joey. It was a pilgrimage. Johnny was the man in so many ways. God Rest their souls.
LOL, my favorite band! "Dee Dee on Drugs!" Joey! But Dee Dee didn't seem to mind. I wish Joey had told him about the cerebellum, best line in song. They kept "needling" Dee Dee, I'm glad he didn't do something rash.
BTW those Ritz shows were phenomenal (in other words, typical Ramones shows). So glad I was born in 1965, I don't even know how many times I've seen these guys. Greatest band ever IMO. A shame all the originals are gone.
This was during his anti-depressant period. While trying to get totally clean, his doctor(s) put him on a wack of anti-depressants. They turned him into a zombie and his weight would fluctuate.
What a great interview. You can tell that Joey truly is thrilled to be on the show, and the band is a bit intimidated. And remember, Joey was still, and always was, enthralled with Spector, so that's not an act. I miss these guys...
Same here. Johnny's interviews were always great. He was the intelligent and responsible guy in the band. He also stood by what he believed in. So his interviews were always great. Unfortunately, he didn't like doing them. But when he did, they were always great.
I absolutely loved End of the Century, Phil Spector the fucking pycho, knew Joey had a voice that could absolutely rip to a person's heart, Spector was right, I love Joey to this day, his voice omg that boy from Queens 💞
"Interviewers were at least a bit patronising" Yes but the Ramones showed exactly how to react. They were cool but friendly and humourous and their lack of the tedious rock star I'm-so-important huffiness had both presenters and audience eating out of their hands by the end.
I absolutely adore The Ramones. Great guys. It’s too bad that the, “hosts,” of this program did themselves and us a disservice by wasting precious time with these gentlemen. Shame on them for not even rising up out of their seats to greet such a phenomenal band. It’s so cool that the guys have been such good friends for decades, and that they are so true to themselves and everyone else. Loads of us fans are still out here and will continue to carry on their beautiful spirit. Much respect and love for The Ramones, always.
No. Thats stupid and youre a fucking idiot. They were good, but they could have been funnier. Everyone was probably waiting on them to act up at least a little. The interview was good, but it could have been better but it wasnt because idiots like you make everything boring and sucky.
"They were sooo fucking great. There will never be another era or band like the Ramones again and it is so fucking sad." Just like Seymour Stein(executive at Sire who signed them originally) said, "Bands like the Ramones don't come around once in a lifetime, they come around once". All Hail The Ramones!!!!!! Gabba Gabba Hey!
typical talk show host antics, nah I don't think they were belittling them too much... Not anymore than the radio stations of the time not playing them on the airwaves in the US. That was belittling.
Ramones played like there were in the military..Very tight.... . In one of the interviews they talk about Phil Spector fiddling around with a gun in the studio... Kinda figures🤔
They got a great reaction from all those old people in the audience. That goes to show how humility and humor go a long way. They really were good guys 👌 Marky is still around thank God
its so funny to hear them talk, they sound like average guys from queens, unlike all the british and west coast punks who though i do like them, often make themselves sound self important or too cool
most musicians then and now could never survive the hard touring and difficult road life they endured.. Missed today -but back at the time of this interview they were marginalized with all hoopla and attention paid on British synth bands, heavy metal, and later Grunge.
About 5.10 Kathy says "how capitalism just sneaks in" as a respond to the band talking about their hits, albums and cds. I suppose she was trying to be funny and sarcastic about the band enjoying making money. What made the interview awkward was the two interviewers trying to be funnny and making a smart comment.
