Do you remember Rock&roll radio? - 0:20 Gimme Gimme Shock Treatment - 3:30 Rock&Roll High School - 4:55 I Wanna Be Sedated - 7:03 Beat on the Brat - 9:13 KKK took my Baby Away - 11:45 Here today, Gone tomorrow - 14:35 Chinese Rocks - 17:09 Teenage Lobotomy - 19:21
Notice when they went into Gimmie gimmie shock treatment, A stagehand changes out Joey's mic, then he seems to lose all his monitors and in that big of a open air venue that would be insane to not hear anything.
I miss this simple times, listening Ramones in my best friend's house, now 10 years since he passed this songs bring me lots off good memories....good times, simple times, lots of hope about the future, not all that rage ,political fight, social media, IA, war, high prices...
Gabba Gabba Hey!!!
I was at this show! It was a blazing hot day, approx 115 degrees! Off to one side, there were outdoor showers set up, and there was a whole bunch of people dancing in there! They were such a great band! Always a special place in my heart for them!
Saw them 9 times, Hollywood, San Diego, Hollywood again, Las Vegas, Ventura, Hollywood, San Diego, Munich, Hollywood , then the Remains and Marky's band a few times
This was about 40 yrs from WW2. Today in 2023 and a similar amount of times passed. To me that’s mind blowing. Feels like yesterday. My parents war generation thought punk was the end of civilisation. But my kids love the Ramones. Not sure what I’m trying to say here. So let’s just enjoy the Ramones!!
I remember MTV covering this day, and asking people in the crowd who they came to see. *Everyone* they asked said the Ramones. I really wish the whole show would surface but it's great some of it was finally released. Greatest band ever!
They were at their best live in 77-83 in my opinion. Saw them in 81, 83 and 90❤ Dee Dee's bass playing and backing vocals were pretty awesome in this show
Byeeee
@@realtimecartravel I don't think it's overdubbed. It seems to be a different mix. The one that has the complete show is the live tv broadcast. This one is from Its Alive DVD which was released after Joey and Johnny were already dead, so it must be a different mix from the tapes recorded in the show.
My first RAMONES show was on the TOO TOUGH TO DIE tour. A few more times at The Hollywood Pallidium and (1994 - 20 year anniversary show), a secret show at the Roxy. I miss them.
This is about as authentic as it gets for Ramones in their prime, they rarely did daylight shows...no gimmicks, just straightforward rock stripped down, fast and loud. Woz knew what he was doing.
Well, they usually tried to play back to back for a simple reason: Joeys condition and OCD kinda forced them to this breakless play, since any pause could cause the complete loss of focus and triggered any number of repetitive behavior. There was a gig in California in the mid 80s, where the electricity was gone for 15 minutes. They had to stop playing, cause Joey needed to go up and down a set of stairs multiple times.
@@falkhammermuller9342 I always kind of wished they would give me a moment to appreciate the song they had just played before DeeDee screamed the next count-off.
1978 Road To Ruin was released and through my best friends older brothers basement bedroom door I Wanna Be Sedated was blarring and I was immediately hooked on The Ramones! My kids who are grown ups now have different taste in music but will all agree that The Ramones are a great band!
@@LannieLord I most certainty do! I actually came close to being a full-fledged punk rocker because of a party I went to and participated in a slam dance in which I had a great time! I shortly after priced some clothing in that style and couldn't afford it...luckily! I came to my senses soon after!
They actually played 19 songs that day, but only 9 are shown here. Missing performances include Blitzkrieg Bop, Rockaway Beach, Cretin Hop and Pinhead.
I would give anything to be at this 21-minute concert but I was only 6 years old. Today's 3-hour concerts don't even come close to these 21 minutes. In all aspects. There were no mobile phones people had fun, they danced and expressed their joy. In short... They were happy. We miss you Ramones. Gabba Gabba Hey until I die.
He was looking a bit heavy here. He was hitting the bottle and eventually missed a gig. Then he was out of the band for a few years. But he did quit drinking to his credit.
I saw them at Athens in 'rodon' live stage club l think 1989.Was just amazing... almost 2.5 hours non stop raw punk rock.. Fantastic New York band with unique energy...Glory days💣♣️🎶🎶💥💥💥
"Ramones - US Festival 1982" is an absolute punk rock powerhouse! This electrifying live performance by the Ramones captures the raw energy and rebellious spirit of their music. The band's high-octane energy, catchy melodies, and rapid-fire guitar riffs ignite the crowd into a frenzy. It's a thrilling journey through their iconic hits, leaving you wanting more. Witnessing the Ramones in their prime is an unforgettable experience. #Ramones #USFestival1982 #PunkRockLegends #HighEnergyPerformance 🎸🔥🤘
It won’t be long and everyone in this video will be gone. It absolutely blows my mind how fleeting time really is and I’m thankful I lived during one of the greatest era’s of music ever known to mankind. Love you all an it’s been a wild ride! Beat on the Brat!
Great memories saw the Ramones a few times at CBGB and Max's Kamsas City...both gone...met Joey amd Dee Dee good people for sure...the 80s where the times of my life...
I remember that during the last couple tours an AA meeting would take place right in the middle of the pit, lot. Someone would simply hold up a handmade AA sign and folks would flock to that area. Once it was literally a ripped up box bottom, lol.
ALL of of them loved the most here is Greece ...so very much. Such icons for PUNK.Came AS A METEORITE noone like like'em and gone..BUT NEVER FROM OUR HEARTS AND SOULS..
I'm feeling depressed today I was looking through You Tube I was bouncing around and thought about the Ramones I went from video to video then the. us festival concert came to view Change my mood in seconds
Raging through 9 songs is 20 minutes is crazy to me but they were forever capable of it by never doing stage banter or theatrics I always wish I caught the Ramones live. They never needed anything to help add to the energy of their show because they always brought it themselves. Such a phenomenal live band and one of my gateways into punk music. I'm so glad so many of their shows were recorded so for someone that was too young or missed out can watch them
Is still remember the name of the dude that got me into to the ramones 35 years ago, handed me a casette and said ‘listen to this on the way home’…. I was hooked from that day on.. Craig, I will always be grateful mate!!
I saw the Ramones at Rincon in Puerto Rico somewhere in the early ‘80s whilst on a surfari with two friends. They played for free. What a fantastic thing!
UNO DE LOS MAS EPICOS CONCIERTOS EN VIVO ! INOLVIDABLE SELECCION DE TEMAS Y FORMA DE TOCAR, SONIDO ARROLLADOR Y CON LOS 4 MAGNIFICOS SONANDO COMO NUNCA! ME EMOCIONA HASTA LAS LAGRIMAS ESCUCHAR ESTE SHOW, RECORDAR A TODOS LOS QUE FUI DE ADOLESCENTE Y SENTIRLOS TAN VIVOS Y PRESENTES A TODOS, NO HAY UN SOLO DIA DE MI PUTA VIDA DESDE MIS 14 AÑOS, ALLÁ POR 1990 EN QUE NO SUENE UNA CANCION DE RAMONES.... COMO LOS PRESENTABA EL RUSO VEREA EN CADA VISITA A ARGENTINA....LLEGAN LOS UNICOS... LOS MAS GRANDES.... LOS RAMONES...!!!! SINCERAMENTE NO PUEDO ESCRIBIR SIN LLORAR... MIENTRAS MUEVO MIS PIERNAS, MI CABEZA AL RITMO, ES INEXPLICABLE, ME ACUERDO LO QUE ME DIJO MI AMIGO CUANDO ME PRESTÓ EL PRIMER CASSETTE... SON UN CAMINO DE IDA. .. Y FUE TAN ASI.... ES UNA DE LAS POCAS COSAS QUE ME QUIERO LLEVAR AL CAJÓN... SU MUSICA SU ENERGIA SUS MELODIAS. RAMONES FOR EVER! ONE OF THE MOST EPIC LIVE CONCERTS! UNFORGETTABLE SELECTION OF THEMES AND WAY OF PLAYING, OVERWHELMING SOUND AND WITH THE MAGNIFICENT 4 SOUNDING LIKE NEVER BEFORE! IT MOVES ME TO TEARS LISTENING TO THIS SHOW, REMEMBERING EVERYONE I WAS AS A TEENAGER AND FEELING THEM SO ALIVE AND PRESENT TO EVERYONE, THERE IS NOT A SINGLE DAY OF MY FUCKING LIFE SINCE I WAS 14 YEARS OLD, BACK IN 1990 WHEN A SONG DOESN'T PLAY RAMONES.... WHILE I MOVE MY LEGS, MY HEAD TO THE RHYTHM, IT'S INEXPLICABLE, I REMEMBER WHAT MY FRIEND TOLD ME WHEN HE LENT ME THE FIRST CASSETTE... THEY ARE A ONE WAY. .. AND IT WAS SO LIKE THIS.... IT'S ONE OF THE FEW THINGS I WANT TO TAKE TO THE DRAWER... ITS MUSIC ITS ENERGY ITS MELODIES. RAMONES FOR EVER!
