When I for the first time saw Ramsay like that, was he to me a potential favorite character. He is still among the favorites, but the outcome wasn't what I had expected.
Tee Johnson the Bolton was named Warden of the North by the Lannisters after what they did at the Red Wedding. During the Red Wedding, Theon held Winterfell after betraying the Starks. And since the Bolton was named Warden of the North, they have to take Winterfell from Theon.
I know right. You would think that in a scene like this where this supposed ironborn is being a hero by saving Theon, you would hear some kind of heroic or Greyjoy theme. But by puting that eerie music they are letting people know that this isn't as heroic as it seems. That something is off.
I like the detail of the guy saying “you little bastard” like of course these dudes were commanded by Ramsay to do this shit and they didn’t expect to die and that guy calling him bastard was a final fuck you before he died since Ramsay hates being referred to as a bastard
What I don't quite understand about this scene is that why Ramsay would kill his own soldiers? I get that he wants to play with Reek but wouldn't it be better to make it so they fake their deaths or something (IE: stage the whole thing). Why would he actually KILL those people??
“Theon your a good man. I remember that day it was so beautiful, tall trees and birds chirping. And you were so beautiful that day when they took off your brown garments.”
Im sure Theon would have felt almost as emasculated as when He got his dick cut off. Getting fucked by a man would probably traumatize him (though, not as much as what Ramsay did to him)
The thing that was always captivating about Game of Thrones was how giant the world was. New characters just showed up and you just never knew what you would get with them. Ramsay was the craziest one for me.
Ramsay is genuinely a very kind and loving individual. He'd never chop off theons nob then eat a sausage in front of him right after. RIP Ramsay bolton
Even in this moment ramsay had already begun the mental torture ensuring that theon wouldnt never feel like he could escape and that ramsay was always in control, every time theon gained hope it would come crashing down.
Theon would likely kick his ass in a sword fight he needed other men to tie him to the cross; I didn’t even think Theon could fight initial season 7 but I bet Theon would slaughter Ramsay in a fair fight
No, don’t watch it! Ramsay stubs his toe and cries in one episode, and it’s very sad. Almost as sad as when his pet caterpillar disappears and all he can find is a butterfly.
This is why I hate everything about Ramsay's character. He was playing in God Mode literally up until Battle of the Bastards. He can just play elaborate mind games, murdering his own men in the process. Not only is the mind game perfect, but he can kill his own men with no consequence. Stannis' whole cavalry gets "set on fire." He could just sneak in with a couple of guys and wipe out an entire cavalry of horses. I can deal with a story filled with dragons, the undead, and magic... but Ramsay was too unbelievable.
Him ransacking Stannis made sense actually considering Stannis was a southerner while Ramsay was born and grew up in the North. Ramsay knew the North inside and out unlike Stannis. Destroying enemy supplies have been staple of warfare since thousands years ago. In the 3 kingdoms era, the warlord Cao-Cao defeated the much larger army of Yuan Shao by burning his supplies. He sent special unit to scout and burn the supplies warehouse and yes he only needed 30 cavarlymen.
You saying he missed all those other shots on purpose, just to make him think he had a chance to escape? This scene kind of proves how good of an archer Ramsay is, plus he was never really worried about how far Reckon was able to get.
All he would’ve had to do is wait for him to let go of his shot and then stop and repeat. Ramsay is calculating his shot for where he would’ve been not where he was. If he just changes his speed a bunch it would be almost impossible to hit him from that distance.
Jon may have been a beast of a swordsman but honestly Ramsay was an insanely good marksman/Hunter, I wish they actually gave him more screen time showing off his combat skills so he doesn’t just seem like a coward when he’s confronted by Jon
He was a coward though, that was the point. He only attacked those who couldn’t protect themselves. I Still think he deserved a more brutal death and that’s saying a lot about him lmao.
@@sebaj8386 that’s not entirely true. He fights off Theon’s rescuers without a shirt on dual wielding swords lol. I wouldn’t call him a coward, he smiled as Jon beat the shit out of him - a coward would beg for his life. He was a skilled tactician. He took favorable fights over honorable ones.
This proves how Ramsay is the most violent, insane, and bloody character of the whole show, even more than Joffrey. At least Joffrey treated his own guards decently. Ramsay killed 4 of his own guards and warriors from his own house, literally just because he was bored and wanted to play games with Theon to torture him even more. This is a whole new level of insanity and bloodlust.
Watching GOT twice over gives me new insight. 1. earlier when Theon vowed to kill the horn blower outside Winterfell, we realize it was Ramsay blowing obtusely, savoring every moment. 2. in this scene, when the guard says "you little bastard" he meant it, literally. 3. later Ramsay appears blowing a horn in Theon's torture chamber. 4. we get a sense of how much time has passed when Yara tries to save Theon by the enormity of scars Theon has on his body. 5. the number of tortuous mind-games Ramsay played on Theon must have been very large for Theon to believe his own sister was a setup.
I love how they always show ppl dying instantly from arrows in the movies. You’d have to directly blow through the heart or hit a head shot to drop someone and still would take several seconds for them to die. Hit anywhere else, even if fatal, and it’s gonna take several minutes to possibly an hour to bleed out. But the movies always show them dropping like a sack of potatoes haha
All jokes aside, we all should've realized something was up here. There's no reason someone who appeared to be just a servant would have that good an aim with a bow.
I’d rather be raped than tortured in every way possible including losing my genitals. Theon really had the most tragic plot and didn’t even get revenge on Ramsey
and then they ran away together and formed an aliance. ramsey helped theon claim the iron island and ramsey got a loyal ally that helped him secure control over the north. the end.
You know, the weird thing is, they made him seem like such a savior here. They also made him seem approachable. Now all the fans want him ground into the dirt. Funny how that is.
Ramsay probably ordered those men to attack and rape Theon, the solider who insulted him probably thought I should have seen this coming and generally didn’t look suprised at the betrayal
Greater love have no one than he who lays down his life for his friend. When great deeds are remembered in this forrest, one name shall stand above all others. Our friend Ramsay Bolton. The memory of Ramsay's sacrifice and bravery will forever be engraved on our saddened hearts. That dungeon in Winterfell where Ramsay fell will always be a hollowed place in the north for there lies one of nature's noblelest creatures.
They were going to stuff him like a thanksgiving Turkey. All this could’ve been avoided if Theon didn’t betray Robb. Also makes you think, Ned and Robb had these psychopaths under their command this whole time
@@Monk-ow3ok yeah, but it's pretty easy for this shit to go unnoticed, especially in the north. Roose Bolton I guess doesn't really give a shit if his army are just a bunch of undisciplined fools.
They're Dreadfort men. Ramsay killed them for his own amusement and as part of his psychotic game to gain Theon's trust before shattering it by leading him right back to the Dreadfort.
