I can’t tell you how incredibly refreshing it is to watch you guys understand and not hate Sansa. She was one of my favorite characters and especially so many men seem to absolutely hate her for no discernible reason. She’s been put into awful positions this entire show and is just trying to survive like everyone else.

Nobody knows what happened, but 14 volcanoes erupted at once in Valyria. The entire peninsula burned. Thousands of dragons tried to fly up and away but they all died the flames flew higher than the dragons and engulfed them and burned them. 🤔 “Fire cannot kill a dragon”. The only dragons that survived were the dragons on Dragonstone. The Targaryen family left Valyria 12 years before the Doom. Daenys had a dream, and convinced her father to move away. That’s how the Targs ended up in Westeros.

Hi, nice reaction! Big fan here. Just a note from my understanding "The Doom" was a volcanic event that erupted in Valeria ending their reign. Some believed it was the price they paid for their magic, etc. But that's all the smoke and destruction. That's also why they aren't around anymore. I believe that's right from the books.

Miranda, as someone else mentioned, is one of the succubi Ramsey used to torture Theon before he was castrated and she is ALL kinds of jealous of Sansa. Not only because Sansa and Ramsey are getting married, she’s jealous because Sansa is beautiful, a proper lady and she views Sansa as a rival. You don’t really see it, but Ramsey has a few ‘bedwarmers’; Miranda, Violet - the blonde succubus, and Tansy - the girl Ramsey, Miranda and the newly minted Reek (aka Theon) hunted down with bows and hounds…well…Ramsey and Miranda hunted while Reek tried to keep up. It was even Miranda’s jealousy that got Tansy killed, because Ramsey was paying attention to Tansy and Ramsey didn’t want Miranda to be jealous. She was even jealous that Theon seemed more attracted to Violet than her before he lost his c0ck. So, IMO, Ramsey now saying that Miranda’s jealousy is becoming boring is him flipping the script on her and she knows this. She also seems unhinged and not very capable of controlling her emotions for long. And she definitely enjoyed hunting Violet down with Ramsey and his hounds…and while she was staring out the window of Ramsey’s bedroom it seemed like she was imagining what it would be like if she were Lady Bolton and the Lady of Winterfell and it seems like she’s been Ramsey’s favorite bedwarmer for a while. Just some food for thought regarding Miranda. 30:39 Stannis is True Neutral. He’s going to follow his own personal code whether or not other people think it’s right or wrong. “Long sullen silences and the occasional punch in the face. The Mormont Way.” This is the stuff that makes me love Tyrion 4life!! The Doom of Valyria has, I think, been mentioned in the Lores & Histories from the previous seasons and also occasionally here and there during conversation in the show. Basically the Doom was a cataclysmic event that destroyed Old Valyria and its population including most of the dragons in the world. The only reason house Targaryen survived is because an ancestor of theirs, Daenys the Dreamer, had prophetic dreams about the Doom that were so convincing her family left Old Valyria to live on Dragonstone and they were mocked in Valyria for leaving.

Is this Jon’s season? I think it might be. This is where being a person like Ned Stark is better than being a Tywin Lannister. Tywin ruled out of fear, so the minute he died, almost no one was loyal to his family anymore. Ned ruled through kindness and honor and now people are willing to protect the Stark children long after his death. 17:24 that’s the exact spot where Catelyn stood towards the beginning of season 1. The parents may not always be mentioned in obvious ways, but it’s little reminders like this that I adore. Theon and Sansa is the closest thing to a Stark reunion we’ve gotten!! Sansa still thinks her baby brothers are dead and that breaks my heart. They always find a way to twist the knife don’t they? “Keep reading, Samwell Tarly.” I’m not a Stannis fan, but he has some really great lines. Davos and Shireen’s relationship is the most purest thing. Sending love for the next one.

the story about the nights watch and wildlings tells a larger story. eventually you have to leave past events in the past in order to move forward. keeping score and holding entire groups of people responsible for the actions of a few is counter productive. if people tried to find a common cause or common ground as hard as they find reasons to hate , maybe we could really do some amazing things

Great review guys, but I want more. I know it’s good to draw out the suspense and it’s better for you to do one episode at a time. I sure would love to have 2 or 3 revieved one right after each other. Think about maybe doing it once. You know to satisfy our pent up excitement.

The woman Bolton married, and who Ramsey calls "mother", was actually one of Walder Frey's daughters, because Walder Frey said he'd pay Roose Bolton her weight in silver if he married one of his daughters, so he married the heaviest one.

I'd argue Stannis is in between True Neutral and Lawful Neutral. He *likes* to think he's doing what's right, but really it's all in service for winning the Game of Thrones.

I would absolutely have been here for a Sansa plotline that was like, "y'all bitches can't kill me, I'm the captain now." as they described. Obviously toned down from a statement like that, presented in more subtle ways and occasional vaguely worded power plays. That would have been absolutely sweet and a show of political understanding and growth.

Sorry but Ramsey is my favourite

This is just my head canon from when I saw it, but to me the "I forgive you" bit with Ramsey and Theon is actually potentially (like at least in intent) one of the most insidious things Ramsey has tried to do to Theon. Sure there's the mutilation and the pain, and that degree of that ish can certainly tarnish a psyche, but first he tried erase his name and identity (Reek), then he tried to instill the new one (I need you to pretend to be somebody you're not), blah blah blah now here we are, and to my ears it seems like what Ramsey is trying to do is like.... tdlr make himself Theon's god. He's trying to be the arbiter of his forgiveness. Not to mention provide a further outlet for Stockholm syndrome (ie being reasonable when it's not Theon's fault could make Theon think less "he's absolutely insane" and more "wait, he's actually reasonable, maybe he's right"). But to me Ramsey "doling out that mercy" doesn't scan as any less malicious than anything else he's done. He still has the same expression of sick joy. I think he's trying to take another opportunity to lord over Theon in every new way possible. Now HE is the one who forgives Theon. It's the same thing as giving him a new identity, just the next step. You're not just a "stinking sack of meat" (Reek), you are now MINE to forgive. He's just drilling himself deeper into Theon's mind, like parasitic insect larvae, laid as an egg into the body of another creature to be born to consume it from the inside. He's trying to hollow Theon out , or that's my lukewarm take anyway
