The £350,000 a week we gave Mesut Ozil is the biggest mistake Arsenal have ever made, don't get me wrong I like Mesut; but that contract was a huge mistake. You can’t blame Ramsey or anyone else if they look for significant increases when you pay someone that much, regardless of their reputation or ‘star quality’.
Luke Bashian He does perform in big games, but doesn't have good seasons (except 2013). Henry, Vieira, Bergkamp etc all used to have bad games (Vieira gave the ball to Ryan Giggs in the 1999 FA Cup semi final), but they performed over a season. Mesut may have awful games but he always gives you around 20 total goals per season (goals and assists). We wont miss Ramsey, we miss Ozil when he doesn't play...
The problem with Ramsey is that he doesn't fit in the team with Ozil at the same time, so i would say sell him, move Ozil back to his no10 role and buy a proper winger with pace.

Really not bothered about ramsey going tbh. He had that one great season a while back but has flattered to deceive since. He's also a poster boy for the end of Wenger's reign and was part of the comfort zone created at the club. Out with the old and in with the new.

I think Arsenal are still lacking in width. I would like to see them bring in a wide midfielder with the likes of maybe Leon Bailey, Julian Brandt, Cristian Pavon someone of that calibre. Tbh Ramsey leaving is a little upsetting, he has over 300 appearances for this great club and to see him leave on the terms he did is sad but we do need to move on, if he can't fit or won't adapt to Unai Emery's philosophy or structure he is trying to put into place he deserves to go.

Ramsey last season was one of our best (Monreal and him) that was it, and now everyone doesnt care if he goes. Please just support another club. Yes he has been poor this season but we’ve had what, 6 games now? If we hadnt had signed Torreira or Guendouzi, everyone would still be saying hes our best midfielder and he is underrated, which he is.

I understand that Ramsey has had two FA Cup winning goals and Ozil hasn't contributed something as tangible. But in Ozil's best season for us we came the closest to winning the league in years. Ozil almost broke the assist record and if we had lacazette and aubameyang during that season we would have won the league. So when you think about contribution you need to think of that as well.

Christian Pulisic, he's a great box to box player, quick, skillful, he's played with Aubameyang and Mkhitaryan. And he play's attacking midfielder and winger roles.

Arsenal should play 3-5-2. Auba laca plays together, extra def at the back, we get width from our wing backs. We get overload in the defence, midfield and striking positions. Solves all problems.
Ramsey selling around 25-30mil in January, we got enough players like Miki, Iwobi and Welbeck to cover and Ozil will be more effective as No10 role, save up some money for the summer and get a top class winger possible Zaha will decide to move after Palace finish bottom 10.
If Ramsey does leave of course we need to talk about the 2 FA Cup winners but also that goal against Galatasaray in 2014. Such an underrated goal and one of the best I’ve ever seen while watching a game live. Left footed half volley from 30 yards. I also think Ramsey can play wide right more effectively than Ozil. Emery clearly should have switched their two roles. And I totally agree with Robby that he’s a box to box player. He could easily play with torreira in the CM. Ramsey’s so good at getting goals when he uses his motor to take risks and make late runs into the box from deeper. As a no 10 he’s not quite creative and precise enough without that element of surprise he gets when playing from deeper. I’d much rather be giving Ramsey chances in the CM early this year than Guendouzi.
