The 4th gen Ram needed new rear shocks, so it got some...Rancho RS9000XL adjustable rear shocks. Five months on, and they're still performing great. Nine levels of adjustment allow for plenty of driving and towing conditions

I put these on my 3500 ram megacab, they're great replacements . What ever you do get rid of factory shocks immediately they are the cheapest around.

You can say that again. OEM is not always the best replacement. LOVE the megacabs!

Sorry for late reply. They're holding up great. Just mentioned to another viewer that I'm looking into getting some on the front. The adjustment settings are hard to tell the difference, aside from lowest to highest. I keep it in the middle and if I'm towing heavy I'll put them up to 9.

@@WildMountainGarage Can you really notice a stability difference when towing and they are on the hardest setting?

@@thebbhic I didn't do any comparison between towing with different settings. The rear end of the truck definitely was stiffer with it on the harder setting. I've since sold the truck. If it helps, I'd buy similar shocks again, at least for a 1500 truck.

Did you notice any less sag with a load as compared to previous shocks? I cannot get a straight answer anywhere.

I heard the adjustability from 1 to 9 has insignificance for fine tuning

I can't say how much but going from 5 to 9 is noticeable, although you might be able to convince me it was a placebo effect. I towed a light load in a trailer and had it on 9 and then forgot to switch back and the rear end of the truck felt stiff enough for me to move them back to five when I got back home.

I sold the Ram, but they held up fine until 2020. I have a Silverado 2500 now, with similar shocks. I have bags and have towed back and forth across the country with no issue.

Can these be adjusted to be stiffer than say a oem shock or your average Bilstein 5100?

I don't know the ratings of all three. I'm sure you could find some technical specs to find out for sure. My stock were blown out and these definitely got stiffer and milder with the settings and I imagine stock would be somewhere in the middle of the range.

I'm running these on back with a flexible system and air settings run and I'm allways get the settings wrong until I change terrain

They can fit in Ram 2007? Regular Cab

Not sure, check rockauto.com or a similar site for fitment. The 2009+ 1500s have IRS instead of leaf springs so it may be different length and mounting for shocks. Hope this helps!
