Hello! It's been 6 years since our last record...thank you guys for being patient. These are the first 3 songs off our new joint '...Honor Is All We Know.' There will be more to come!
Very elated to see you guy's back at it again. Operation ivy got me in too ska/punk & rancid was the band that ignited that fire in me to dive head first into punk. Oi from Stockton, Ca.
I love this band.. I've been a huge Rancid fan since the mid-nineties when "Let's Go" and "Out Come the Wolves" were the soundtrack of my college years.. These guys are so amazing. Can't get enough of them. Still enjoying their music, even now..
they make an old skool move they make a cassete its so cool when the CD 's every where and more piracy in every corner of this world the make a great movement.
Did I mention to you about my punk rock radio? Words don't apply on my push it up stereo Transistor party, but the fader's right They're gonna speak, come and blast it on a reggae, all the night Whoo! Sham 69, roots reggae on my temple With a 45 record too, on the turntable With the turntable kicking, man, it took away, yeah When the sun come a rising and let the song begins Singing! We're on a mission, got no remorse One hundred miles an hour, collision course With the glow of the light and my radio down Four better pieces from the record found I dropped the needle watching Creedle and Shout Now, I'm playing a black man at the record shop Deep in the night in the caos scums My rhythm gets striven by the beat of drums 45, 33 RPM, Hey, Mr DJ, let us in! Check it! We're on a mission, got no remorse One hundred miles an hour, collision course
These guys aren't punks though they try to look and play as if they were. Punk was a movement, amongst other things, against capitalism and rancid are millionaires
You guys can't fail unless you argue and split up. I can get that kind of division anywhere. Was born into it, Stay together as Rancid as you can be and be fruitful and multiply. Your music is part of what keeps me standing.
That guitar is been thru hell and back and still sounds as good as it was 20 yrs ago....maybe better. That's gotta be a High dollar piece belongs in the Hall of Fame one day.
IMO, Rancid doesn't get the respect they deserve! One of my favorite bands of all time! I was fortunate to see them at the Warfield in SF about 7 years ago, was surprised the place was still standing when they were through! 40 songs in 2 hours according to a review I read - Who does that? And... they all freakin' Rocked!!
evil is my friend.....the old school speacials style keyboards just brings that song together and sends chills of joy down yer spine.....fucking beautiful
As a dirty civy, this song is the best way to remember everyone and the amazing times I've been blessed with spending with outstanding humans! I wish this would play everyday on every radio station. We can never repay what has been lost.
This makes me feel good to be an old school skinhead/ska/punker. All thee above. Oi! To you all out there. Much love and respect from The SGV / USA 2021
"Evils my friend" is a nice change, the sound is great its almost like a throwback to the operation ivy sound, just hearing matt play his bass in that old style was very nostalgic.
When I started up the video my first impression was "damn their age is starting to show" just by looking at em, then the music started and it was as rancid as rancid can be. I love that no matter how old they get rancid still sounds like rancid. Proof that their music is who they are.
Punk rock saved my life....again. This whole shitty year is redeemed. I needed "Evil's My Friend" today. Thank you, Rancid. 3 "If I fall back down, you're gonna help me back up again"...truth.
Can't wait for what will surely be the best release of the year! Love the vocal trading on Honor. Matt brings the bass heavily on this tune- none better.
I love you guys. Thanks for all the music over the years. To have so many great bands call the east bay home and rep where they came from, I'm happy I got the chance to experience at least a part of it. Hope Jesse is doing well too, I've always liked both his & Tim's art
Rancid, the sound track to my life. Thanks for all the wonderful memories created while listening to your kick ass and immortal tunes over the last 20 plus years!! So great to see you all jamming!!! Bay Area love!!
NO comment! this songS is a perfect music, love rancid! 9 10 years old i listen my first time a punk band rancid..love it ..now im 24 years old ...and rancid is are a part of my life..LET' GO HOMIES!
I've always preferred vids that just show the musicians playing. I care little for other kinds most of the time. Maybe I'm closed minded about it, but what else would I really rather see when listening to music? I wanna see them play :)
I don't know why but I waited until my Rancid - Rancid CD finished to watch this video. And you know, it was pretty cool. Collision and Evil sounded like their old days. And Honor was good too.
I've known this band ever since I was 7 years old. God thank God they are back and sounding the same. This is freaking amazing! Glad you're back Rancid!
Remember when you could watch a Rancid video, and there wouldn't be an argument about whether they're a punk band? Not even Pepperidge Farms remembers.
