I don't listen to this song often, but I know whenever I hear it start playing, it puts a smile on my face and makes me want to go kick life in the teeth. Rancid Forever.
Born and raised in California. Played punk rock with tons of great bands, some well known, some unknown, made awesome friendships. Years later, Cali got too expensive, less punk, and yet I still have songs like this, and Rancid to remind me, last one to die!!! Proud of bands like Rancid!
Rancid their music makes you feel great inside. Like through their music its like they are your friends. I hope someday I can see rancid and social distortion live. Wished I had been brought into knowing them in earlier years.
I can remember when I first listened to rancid, I was probably 11, I first listend to fall back down and then last one to die, I felt so good, I knew I had just found where I belong, this shit was meant for me, all this album still makes me feel the same!!
Similar story but I was listening to And Out Come The Wolves at that age. I love how there is no age for Rancid. Some guy said he first heard them when he was 80.
I listened to a lot of RANCID, Operation Ivy, Tim's album. I have read a lot about all of them and I can't help this feeling... I feel like they all are my old friends. All their songs about their life, all their feelings and emotions that I heard about through my headphones, while sitting alone at home. I don't come here to just listen to the song, I come here to listen to a good song sung by my friends. I listen to the words and feel happy, that they are doing good.
Listen guys, Rancid is one of my all time favorite bands and I love punk rock passionately. But they are not the reason punk's not dead and they're not punk pioneers.
man, doesn't matter if it's rap or pop, metal, country or punk, music has always been able to change people's lives. it's powerful. imagine a world without music....suck wouldn't it? keep rockin' bro!
You know, no matter where I am in life, whatever I'm doing, whereever life takes me, I can always listen, to Rancid, NOFX, The Ramones, and Social D. Punk Rock Changed my life.
Big time love for Rancid. Punx Their music has been with me through so many stages in my life. Marriage, pregnancy, divorce, and everything all over again. Live, they cannot be bettered. Punx not dead (so goes the epitaph on a wall near me that's been there for 25 years).
i remember the first time i listen to this song, it was in high school, the time where one direction insanely popular and the time when the scene kids is on the rise, and here i am, the only kid who listen to punk music in school.
I ´member when I moved to the US from Spain for my senior year in HS to a small mormon town, some 20 years ago =D ... You had to see those kids faces during recess... long hair dude, piercings, beard, smoking alone sitting on a lunch table in the middle of the playground... There was like a 10ft security perimeter that nobody dared to cross or even get closer to me... sad and funny as hell!! (the story might continue)
LYRICS. Everybody saying we gotta take a chance And telling me what the hell went wrong We only listen to the words that we sing Now a million are singing along We got it right, you got wrong, Were still around (last one to die) Were going up, you're going down Were still around (last one to die) The ones that counted us out Regret that they packed the fight We sit on top of the world And were proving it every night We got it right, you got wrong, Were still around (last one to die) Were going up, you're going down Were still around (last one to die) Through the storm and the gigs And the good and the bad There ain't no doubt We knew from the very first show, what it was all about We got it right, you got wrong, Were still around (last one to die) Were going up, you're going down Were still around (last one to die)
1st time i heard ya'll was on 120 mins 1990... I lived in south padre island texas. I saw ya'll n social distortion the same night... my style developed from both ya'll...thank you for the music... you can express and play what i feel
rancid son increibles, desde que tuve 19 años los escucho y los voy a seguir escuchando por el resto de mi vida , saludos desde argentina a todos los rancio como yo
Rancid is great, was great and will be great. Times are changing. The band cannot do the same thing for over 20 years (btw, their sound hasn't changed much really). If u r stuck in early 80s or 90s, it's your problem. I love Rancid for whatever music they play.
to all those bashing rancid. These guys are legit, punk to the bone. If you think they changed, its possible but they havent sold out their punk roots. their music matured. Punk wont die. We still got these boys kicking around, NOFX, Bad religion. elite!
apart from that bullshit use of "gay", Rancid do NOT sound like '91 on Let the Dominoes Fall. to me this album is the only rancid album that just sucks. no energy, no bite, just terrible.
I remember when rancid was taking flack for whatever reason... ive followed them since op ivy... they have lasted the test of time. They put on a great live show, they are honest and tim is a lyrics genius. Eveything that comes out of Oakland usually turns to gold.
He looks like a complete thug and I am sure there were a lot of people who said he wouldn't go anywhere. I used to hate this song because I didn't believe it was punk rock. I have come to realize that this song is the most punk rock song ever. That is my reason for loving key figures in the punk rock scene of his time.
To Rancid: you guys are The Best. Greatest Ever. If I could take the rest of my time in this world, split it up evenly and give to all of you…i would happily die right this moment with a smile on my face ✊
Love these guys, been into the scene for oh idk.. 5 years or so? and just recently i really took interest in these guys, cant believe what ive been missing out on!
my dad raised me on all things in the form of Punk and Ska, and I've grown up with Rancid. I love them with all my heart, and i'm fucking happy that theyre still around.
No kidding! I have very severe depression and haven't been happy at all, really, in well over 30 years. But sometimes their music can spark a little light in my mind. The good shit can sometimes do that :)
@@devilsoffspring5519 i m sorry man, hope things get better. i still remember when "let the dominoes fall" came out, i was happy for like a whole month.
fuken awesome heres to all ageing punks last one to die.punk lives in the heart of us all forever.thanks to tim and the boys for bringing punk to generations of rockers. and remember punk is part of all of us and its not what you wear its attitude
