The increase in military spending alone, mind you just the increase, is equal to the entire food stamp budget. He does this because he knows it riles up his base. He is deliberately misleading his own followers about military spending because he wants to draw attention away from his own fallacies. Ask yourself, what was more important this past year food or military? If your going to prioritize spending, then get your own numbers in the correct order first.

The US really needs to deal with the deficit and debt rationally. I love Medicare and Social Security but there must be some tax reform. I would propose a 20% value added tax to balance the budget and tie income taxes to money raised through stocks rather than having a separate capital gains tax and also have a 0.05% Financial Transaction Tax on all Financial Transactions.
I give zero craps about the "deficit and debt", and you shouldn't either. Nor should literally anybody who is working 40+ hours a week to make ends meet. ALL countries have debt. There is nothing wrong with having a debt. Even if we eradicated ALL the debt tomorrow, my life would be EXACTLY THE SAME. if you wanna cut wasteful spending go at the military budget. science tends to be rather useful over though you can always find weird studies and research. over all I don't see an issue with studying the effect of drugs using animals it less risky then doing it with humans who may for a harmful addiction. Better to take a hacksaw to the military budget and subsidies for companies that don't need it like the oil industry etc.. Or enforcing tax laws so the rich have to pay their taxes like everyone else does.

Printed in the form of a "bond" (or "treasury security", technically) which is a large-denomination U.S. bill that earns some nominal interest. If our politicians are going to get confused like this maybe we just limit ourselves to issuing ordinary currency to cover the deficit, instead of issuing these interest-bearing bonds that confuse everyone. (Ok well nevermind me. Just a nerd here. Go back to your libertarian squabbles now.)

Without knowing why the study was done, and what was discovered, we can't know the value of it. His staffers just researched into some studies that sound funny, and now he is listing them. It's very disingenuous.
He's trying to pinpoint things that are clearly not needed. He believes there are so.e studies of value. He says as much. But there are many studies that are not at a great level of importance . You're being disingenuous if you can't relate to that fact. Some of the studies are good and useful. Others, though they may be important in some respects, do not need to use tax money. Especially not at certain times. And when government officials politic their policies like people need insurance , food, shelter. No matter what the absurdity of the study sometimes the study is not needed.
