Senator Rand Paul took to the Senate floor Wednesday to "putting congressional leadership & the Biden Administration on notice" that he will "oppose any effort to hold the federal government hostage for Ukraine funding."
Senator Paul has long flown a bit under the radar, but every time I hear him speak, he does so with common sense and truth. I guarantee he will not cave in and fund this foreign war. He says what he means and means what he says, and I admire him for that.
"No accountability, and blank checks," are the motto of Ukraine. It is real disheartening to know, the war may have been over, if Ukraine had used the money appropriately.
@@rlh1203 - What exactly would this accomplish? Being sent around by regime officials who try to force-feed him one-sided propaganda.... How exactly would this help anything? He can get the same here in the USA by watching CNN, without our taxpayers having additional travel expenses!
@@rlh1203 Since you don't seem to know the real reason politicians on both sides have visited Ukraine, I'll tell you. Well, political optics for one, but the real reason is to make the appropriate contacts within the Ukrainian power structure of politicians and oligarchs, to ensure that they are firmly in on the grift and to ensure they get their cut of the grift. A nice chunk out of $120+Billion of US taxpayer money can easily be grifted over in Ukraine, which has historically been one of the most corrupt countries in Europe. Wars make politicians, bureaucrats, oligarchs and leadership with the military industrial complex very very rich!
@@stephscrf230 Is that so? It's interesting that Elon Musk has personally benefited the most from endeavors linked to the Ukraine crisis, thanks to his numerous Pentagon contracts related to the Starlink war machine. In 2021, Paul expressed his admiration for Musk, describing him as a "great American" who was making a substantial impact on the world. He also commended Tesla, Musk's company, for its dedication to advancing electric vehicle technology. In 2022, Paul publicly endorsed Musk's attempt to acquire Twitter, asserting that Musk would safeguard the principles of free speech on the platform. *It's fair to say that my previous statement is correct. The promotion from Twitter including Tucker Carlson's show is payment for Musk to receive war contracts from the pentagon.* I understand your desire for saviors and figures to idealize, but they all share common traits. Almost all conflicts, including wars and the causes behind them, as well as issues like climate change, mass poverty, mass depression, homelessness and mass extinction, can be traced back to greed and self-ambition. The very fundamentals of Rand Paul.
@@waynemartin5247it's not even about the military industrial complex, even though they are benefiting. This proxy war was supposed to be 40 countries dumping hundreds of billions of dollars into Ukraine to fight Russia. The plan was to overwhelm Russia and force them into a humiliating retreat back home across the border. Only now this plan has backfired big time , Russia ain't going anywhere , the billions in game changer western weapons are all burning. And the worst part is Russian military and Russian industry isn't even near to being in full war mode
I never thought one day I will support Sen Paul, but I have to whole heartedly salute him. Thank you Sen Paul! Thank you for articulating it so well, thank you for pointing out the lunacy of this whole thing, thank you for standing up for truth. I wish there are more American politicians like you!

For those of you, no matter Democrat or Republican, who support the Ukrain/Russian war and want to spend that much for that war are no more than Murders. No matter how much money/weapons giving to that Ukrain"s Presidents guy he will never win the war but destroy his own country and killed his own people that's why Senator Rand Paul want that killing to be stopped.
Where is the logic exactly? The fact that we have hundreds of Americans milking the system living on welfare and social security and having the ability to work or us sending weapons to Ukraine and Ukrainians actually utilizing said resources effectively.
@@amirtawfik7495 What do you mean?! You should be more upset about free loaders in our country instead of our country sending off military equipment that is sitting on the shelf or already obeselte. How did you not get this ?
Some yes, Ukraine is a huge money laundering operation. We fund Ukraine then they buy weapons and military stuff, most comes from US owned companies. .. hmmmmmm some of the most wealthy counties in the US are right around DC. Its just a money making scheme
Rand Paul is not being entirely honest - these billions are, in fact, in the greater interest of US Corporations. Unfortunately that does not translate down to being in the greater interest of the vast majority of Americans and even less so, the greater interest of the vast majority of Ukrainians who will never see a dime of their corrupt oligarchs corruption and cetainly not from beneath their own bloodied soil.
Would it matter? Ukraine, Israel, Turkey, some other nation, that money is never going to go to the need of our citizens. Even if we cut 100% of foreign aid, Paul and people like him are completely against entitlements, healthcare assistant, Medicaid, Medicare, childcare, veterans aid, etc.
Talk. He's been funding it. Same with funding illegals. And trillions to foreign countries and to private American business and on and on. The only person who has stood up to this and started stopping it is President Trump.
