"streamed between January and May 2018" I know that a bunch of content creators like to cut up & schedule their content, but damn Womble, you're on another level
Everyone else does uploads at least 1 week in advance, this is years ago. When the world was not being ravished by the things that are happening right now. Wheere's my Time/Space machine?
He mentioned he had a second playthrough and got some missing footage, so I assume some scenes are taken from the it while ZF talk is from the initial playthrough
@@antonkartohin4682 Nah, second playthrough is different. He played as lady lump in that one. This is completely from the first play with some scenes recreated recently by doing some smurf runs for the sake of the vid.
I play Rogue for the group. Either Ranged or Melee, but always with pickpocket. I basically steal every skill we need, any cool item we see on vendors, and lastly all the remaining limit on Gold in case we find something I can't pickpocket to get. Honestly, being a Rogue is basically having anything you want for free. You don't even need a stealth skill, just tell your friend to talk to the NPC to keep him turned around. He was laughing so hard as he was looking in the inventory and telling me what he wanted and it just disappeared as he is browsing the list.
I just started replaying Divinity 2 yesterday, and was looking up a small guide on a build I want to try. Seen this video, so now I get to catch up. He definitely has an odd uploading schedule, but can't be mad at him with such great content such as this.
There are no intimidation or any other check with Divinity dialogue other than persuasion. The wits/strength/etc. box at the beginning like Fallout is merely flavor that you need to choose the right one or you have a better chance of failing the check. Baldur's Gate is more along the lines of having intimidation and charisma checks vs straight persuasion because it's heavily taken from D&D while Divinity is not.
Imagine you're Malady, some all powerful sorceress, and the 4...."heroes"....you've picked up are all just bickering behind you in the rowboat about off'ing eachother, stupid naming conventions, and, probably, someone being pickpocketed.
Gotta say this one is definitely the best part thus far out of the divinity series, focusing more on the comedic parts of the playthrough was the right choice I think. Amazing job and well worth the wait Womble!
For those who don't understand Persuasion is a stat on Divinity When you choose a dialogue, regardless of HOW, it always uses the persuasion stat So when yous ee Wits, Strenght or other type of option. They are all Persuasion
@@DrMcBeak probably the modifier for the needed amount of persuasion to succeed. A strong guy won't need much in persuasion to flex his muscles and threaten, but a weak guy would need to be more persuasive if he's lacking in muscles.
Something about the 'watching Soviet for years' sounded funny to me. Like.. Person A: "I've been watching Soviet for 3 years and he makes the best videos!" Person B: "Really? Are they that good?" Person A:"Yeah! They're my favourits! All 5 of them!" 😁
@@Chronostra Yeah, the part from 17:22. I remembered him talking about it in stream and how he hoped it would blend in the video well, and he definitely suceeded because if not for this comment I wouldn't have noticed it.
@@Chronostra it's pretty much word-for-word what gets narrated in that part during the actual game, only Malady isn't the one narrating, it's Windego (the old woman who tries to kill you on the ship in the beginning).
02:27 Made me chuckle. I (human) started collecting faces i had ripped of in a bag in my inventory. Great payoff when friends eventually found it. The part on the Lady Vengeance is absolute gold!
I started collecting body parts (by accident initially) and found out that I could send them to my other party members. The surprise when they found a severed leg in their inventory was priceless. Later I found out that the body parts were actually useful so I just started toting around a bunch of body parts and my friends would toss them my way
3 episodes in and they JUST FINISHED THE TUTORIAL ZONE! I love this game so so much. It’s incredible that people literally sometimes stop playing they Finnish fort joy cause it’s just so long. But it gets you really used to the mechanics of the game and the next acts are nothing but gorgeous!
@@AnonEyeMouse perspective my dear friend I learned more about the game (how use the teleport gloves to get around engagements as an example) in fort joy than I ever did on the boat.
"Stealing everything not nailed down" and "just gunna sell everything not nailed down" are two different viewpoints. Everything has value, ALL MUST GO!
"I'm not TRYING to steal from the NPC's, *I am stealing from the NPC's.* -Quebec, 2022. (My fav quote) I'm glad Soviet is still uploading this game cause despite it being a very strategy-based game, it all *boils into chaos* when you've got the trolol likes of Quebec & Digby. 😆🤣
one hefty chunk of praise for womble's dedication; giving the npc's edited subtitles despite them already having subtitles, because they just weren't sassy enough
Just brilliant as always. Love the artwork and the voicing. Good focus on the parts you did. Made me wanna play that game again even tho i already knew many things. To understand every bit of story is not easy at all. Not even when you playing it yourself but you did a great job summarizing it. Fun to watch you guys conquer more and more of the game and i am keen to see how you turn out to play it.
I KNEW YOU'D UPLOAD! I was looking through your channel a few hours earlier and thought, "Hmm, the time that Womble takes between videos passed. I wonder when he would upload." Gladfully enjoying this video.
The overwhelming joy of seeing a new video from SovietWomble got uploaded followed 20 minutes later by the crushing knowledge that it will be a month or more before there is another one.
4:28 reminds me of a story my great uncles told me where they used to shoot at each other with BB guns when they were kids, and my great aunt interrupted them to say, "wait, you guys shot at each other?" And one of my uncles, with no hesitation, just went, "we didn't shoot AT each other, we shot each other." They also shot my great grandpa (their dad) in the torso with one of their BBs once and the only response that my great grandma had was "aim higher next time." Gotta love dry German humor.
I just finished a playthrough of this game with my squad and it took us over the course of a year to finish it. I can only image how many videos womble can squeeze outta this game.
The, "PLEASE tell me we saved before this fight," got to me. In the old days the bois and I used a mod to autosave for us, but it recently was deleted. So, the bois found an old save file, parsed it into a separate flashdrive, and manually installed it in all of our computers. Big brain
This is truly a certified Divinity Original Sin 2. Never peace, always chaos xD Never go pee in the middle of playing games with friends. You'll be surprised what they'll do to you, it's like sleeping first in sleepover 😂😂
It's been 4 years and I still remember the day Womble's character went bald and was too dumb to wear trousers. Can't wait for the ending of the campaign with that one liner from Quebec. I'm sure the editing will enhance the experience.
"I want to get out of this island, it's awful, it sucks arse, it's worse than France" As a french person, I believe this is what everyone living in the UK thinks
@@Ars3nLup1n It reminds me of that meme from a scene from "Mrs. Doubtfire" "How I say goodbye to my friends:👋" "How I say goodbye to my best friends:🖕"
Love Soviet, I’ve been watching his videos for a long time. I get he’s probably a busy guy but I miss the days when he posted more frequently and posted different games. Keep it up Soviet!!!!!!!
19:00 Ah yes the classic _"One guy lits himself on fire from touching something, and another, after being told about this, proceeds to touch said object and lit themselves on fire as well"_
Omg some people might think these videos have too much time between them but this is the perfect amount of time, especially for this quality of free content.
Quebec in part 1: what? I didn’t steal anything! I have no idea what you’re talking about Quebec now: I’m not trying to steal from every NPC, I AM stealing from every NPC
I've been graduated college, worked for a year, and lost a parent waiting for this part. Thank you for finally remembering your YT account password back.
I always think it's funny when every last one of these games get it wrong, the Victor does not choose the terms of peace, the Loser does, unless the Victor chooses genocide.
When you sub to Soviet knowing he won't upload for god knows how long but you don't unsub cause your there for the random bs and laughs so you wait for the next video just to see it
What I'd do to Quebec for his bs: 1. Modify petrification curse with gold. 2. Activate upon taking from a team-mate without adequate reason. 3. Start with hands. Each cycle gets worse. It subsides after a while, but takes longer each time. 4. Weight is increased, magic and skills are locked.
Many ppl asked this question on his Twitch streams but he’d always refute saying that having another person editing the videos would tarnish the flow and sense of humour of the video. Simply saying he would question everything, with having a second opinion and all. Plus, he enjoys taking the time to edit the videos himself.
I have like a sixth sense when it comes to Wombles upload schedule or something it’s wild 2 days ago I was like “it’s about time for a new Womble vid to drop” and now HERE WE ARE
@@mrunknown138 he releases these vids as early access to his patrons and twitch subs before making them public. Its his way of thanking the people who support and back him considering he doesn't monetise these vids or run ads on them.
Dear Soviet Womble, I started watching your streams months ago! I like them very much, because I think they send a calming atmosphere! A few weeks ago I also started to watch your RU-vid channel and now I am a even bigger fan! I love your work most especially your essays! You make me want to play so many games! Thank you very much! Greetings from Germany ;)
@@aisterpendragon6694 I see. I'm just mainly saying that since most of the RU-vidrs I've watched haven't actually finished a full series playthrough of it.
Can we appreciate Womble's hardwork subtitling the dialouge even though the game itself provides subtitles? When they found Magister Loke I got so scarred for him the poor guy doesn't deserve to suffer more especially from our "heros". At least I didn't have to see him die. I expect everyone to try and kill each other when the *choice* comes up no way they do the right thing lmao. Hopefully the next one won't take so long.
If you're referring to the fight I think you are, then it was really epic. I've seen the whole playthrough on Quebec's Stream Archive on youtube (unofficial channel) and what happened during that fight was just amazing. In fact, I'm gonna go watch it again right now.
