I sometimes really wow'd people as a kid... By saying random shit. Because they would construct a whole poetic underworld to what meant nothing to me when it left my mouth. I think that's my favorite thing about human beings, they need to explain anything unexplainable and everyone's explanation will be different. Human creativity is accumulative and the best of it is built upon goofy nonsense. In my opinion.
I'm subscribed for years now but i've only just seen the video I always thought that many things you find or see are like a: "dude look, it's the hole on a picture. I wonder what's in it, let's explore it" type of thing. Also you look better than i thought but then again i'm a gremlin lol
A little nitpick about the armor part. you can carry extra lizard armor in the game, honestly bone armor is just too expensive to craft considering you need cloth which is hard to come by in the caves, even on the surface it better to use it for building purposes rather than armor. molotovs are ok but fire arrows are better. really the game expects you to get full armor of whatever and stock up on extra armor pieces for exploration of the caves, lizard, stealth, bone, mutant doesn't matter what. in my playthrough having hundreds of days i found it more resourceful to wear lizard armor for everything since lizards and gators (which gives 4 pieces) are everywhere. Save the bone and mutant armor for the last part of the game or if your about to die. not going to lie, by the end of the game i had dozens of skin racks with lizard skin, didn't have many bone armor racks and mutant racks. stealth is ok to make since its just lizard skin and leaves, which is also plentiful. Love the vid man.
I thought this video was gonna be about how Forest is a misunderstood masterpiece or something and i was like "boy shut your goofy ass up" but damn am i glad i watched this. This touches on almost all of the parts that pisses me off in Forest, thank you Mister Womble.

Geberally speaking you're absolutely right, the developer is the one under pressure and the customer has the right to be pissed at the lackluster state of your game as it enters EA, but recent years have shown that there actually might be something akin to a second first impression. Games such as Cyberpunk and No Man's Sky have managed to garnet enough goodwill for the amount of free work the dev(s) have poured into it after release that a broad re-evaluation of the general perception has taken place.

why in the world would you want an option to call for help for no response? I understand Subnautica would flesh out the story because there are other survivors survived long enough to make their distress call but when you wake up in a plane with 15 corpses surrounding you AS THE ONLY SURVIVOR... it's clear a British person lacks the critical thinking capabilities to realize the difference in a game's themes as differentiated from their genre? this is an absolutely pathetic excuse for a game review.
so, are you really making the argument that if you woke up after a plane crash on a deserted island your number one instinct would not be to call for help. cause thats bullshit. maybe he wants the character to have sensible, human motivations? if they are going to have a story, it should make sense and be grounded in some sort of logic, no?
