Talk about memories coming back. I have an almost new pink-box Tammy doll with platinum hair wearing her original romper and tennis shoes that I got as a child. My mother shopped the Sears and Aldens catalogs religiously because we didn’t live near any department stores. Both references took me back. Thanks for the memories.
It looks like you have two versions of Tammy. Tammy was produced the year before Sindy and they share the tagline "The doll you love to dress". Tammy was originally a straight-legged doll and was slightly larger than Barbie at 12 inches. Pepper was her little sister and was younger looking than Barbie's little sister, Skipper. Later versions had poseable legs. Eventually, both dolls had slimmer, shorter, grown-up bodies and smaller heads. The Tammy family included Tammy's Mom who was a bit taller than Tammy, her Dad, her brother Ted, her boyfriend Bud (who is very rare), and little brother Pete. They all had friends including Pepper's friend Patti who is rare and is actually a mini Patti Playpal mold. Deluxe Reading made an 8-inch doll called Penny Brite that people often confuse with Tammy's Family. Love the Martians!
Thank you so much for all of the information!! I’m surprised how many different characters there are considering how short lived Tammy was compared to Sindy…
@@xCanadensis I think one big difference between Sindy and Tammy as far as longevity has to do with Barbie being well established in the US at the time and not so much in Great Britain. American Character's Tressy lasted long in Britain, too.
32:32 The big five thing genuinely drives me insane. Not because of the fact that they're so expensive, but because THERE IS ONLY ONE CAT AND FOUR DOGS APART OF THE BIG FIVE. ITS CRIMINAL 😞😞
Oh wow, those Tammy dolls have really pretty faces- love! Never heard of the mini Martians, what a fun set! Ponies LPS and Neopets, all very cute ❤ I'm seriously thinking of getting back into Neopets, wonder why 😂😂
Ahaha Neopets is really good right now, it takes a pretty good chunk of my daily routine some days because there’s so much to do on there and it’s nice to do while I wait for my videos to proceed. I just need them to fully commit to a toy line 😝
The more I look into the late 60’s the more I’m starting to think it’s one of the best times for dolls 😭 there’s soooo many cool doll ideas!! I’m excited to share more
OMG, I love this vid! I have Tammy, and Pepper dolls. I love dolls from the 60's. I hope to see more of Licca chan 1st generation (also from the 60's) soon in your collection too.
@@xCanadensis I have a few of the first generation licca dolls. The first gen friends and mommy Orie are also difficult to find. The 60's dolls are very interesting. The face molds and eye designs were really cute.
When I was younger I had that green holiday barbie and I would always play with her robe thing! I forgot about her but when I saw her robe I knew it was her lol
AISHA HATTTT!!!! omg it's sooo cute!! I've been back into neopets lazily on and off for years now, but i got super back into it like a year or two ago and I'm having so much fun on it!! So it's so fun seeing you get more neopets stuff 😍😍
The pink G2 is light up family Princess Twinkle Star and Baby Twinkles If you press the button on her side, her stars should light up :) And the blue one is sugarbelle- she has a magnet on her nose to pick up her bouquet of flowers she came with.
Would you do a collection or room update video some time? It looks like the shelves behind you have changed some, and I love seeing your collections all together!
I believe you have Tammy and second version of Tammy, Pepper could be the shorter gal. I had Martians in the early 70's but they were mattel and came out same time as the Upsy Downsy books and dolls.
I love the Mystikat and the Stylistas dolls but I don't like the Catwalk Kitties (their faces freak me out). No matter how many times I look at Catwalk Kitties, I just can't help but feel freaked out.
Lol that Tammy pricing thing is very familiar. This week at a flea market someone had a box of grimey 90s Barbies and one of them (I think it was Sweetheart Barbie in some fakie outfit) was 15€ and the seller was telling me "Oh this one is more expensive because she's valuable, the others you can have for 5€ each". But like why?? There was literally no reason why that one would be worth more. She was the only one that had a price tag, so maybe that was on her when the seller got the box and she concluded that that meant something? Who knows. I walked away with a 5€ Troll Barbie and a lot of questions.
How odd!! I seriously wonder? They knew what the dolls were but why would one be that much pricier than the others and not go on discount when the others did?? It’s so random.
there is tammy her mom and dad and posin pete brouther ted bud her boyfriend and misty bud who looks like ted with darker hair and salty doti too i think and if tammys in her formel kimono reach up to 3oo worth when in mint condition i have never herd of the tammy dolls my mom has dwan dolls ever heard of them
