Random Encounters of Fallout 4 - Part 1 

You really need to stop wandering the commonwealth and help some settlements.. Here, i'll mark them on your map

So strange that with almost 900 hrs, all the dlcs and level 95, I maybe stumbled across 20% of these random encounters.

If you go to Quincy, and kill all the raiders you can find macs old bar in the middle of the place

The bartender Mac would be a really awesome encounter if you could invite him to one of your settlements and he could become a level 4 bar merchant. Someone should mod that.

People mourning the death of their friend while you step all over the grave 10/10

the weridest encounter i got was when i got a ghoul asking for radaway...

Compilations like this remind me how many random characters are voiced by Brandon Keener (aka Garrus) in this game.

I wish there was a quest to help Mac make a complete bar.

The "burial of Blake" one was extra sad for me because they were ruthlessly murdered by supermutants

I think that bar was sadder than Blake’s death

You can run into Mac right in the middle of the glowing see. Just an amusing WTF moment.

Those begging water and radaway reminds me of the water beggars in Megaton and Rivet City back in the Capitol Wasteland.

I found the rad away encounter, but the settler was a ghoul and I was like, "idiot"

I met Art fighting Art(synth) twice in two different locations on the same character

"The saddest encounter" then proceeds to walk all over the dudes grave in power armor while his friends are there grieving lol 9:30

7:35 I guess it's the AI that makes him automatically look at Dogmeat, but I love the cut giving the implication that he's asking Dogmeat about Ladies' Night and Bar Trivia Night.

Can you get Mac to join a settlement? Would be neat, get him that bar he always wanted.

I always wondered why Mac opened a bar on the edge of the Glowing Sea. Had no idea it was a random encounter.

I once found that bar guy in the middle of the fucking road, just standing there ~*cleaning* Terrifing at night

I remember finding the bartender right outside of the coast guard building with the crashed vertibird. I was utterly shocked, since there was a super mutant suicide coming towards us. he didn't survive.

That bartender is really a nice person with a dream, I like him

I met Duke once almost straight out of the Vault. I followed him almost all the way back to the Atom Cats garage. I just let him tank his way through, and collected the scrap.

The Blake event is actually kind of touching. We see lots of post-apocalypse stories where people act callous to each other and leave corpses to rot in the streets, but in this scene when Blake dies his friends take the time to honor and mourn him.

Mac looks so innocent, that I would never kill him even though he'd open fire.

One of my personal favorites is when you meat a raider named Gruel with a chefs hat! He is instantly hostile and upon killing him he has a note with a rather odd recipe.

The scavenger and hatch one actually longer than that, the scavenger will run until far enough and activated the explosive, then came back and go down the hatch, if you follow him down right away he'll immediately open fire. If you wait for a bit he'll just disappear.

I can't help but love Mac's optimism.

I found a fake Preston Garvy up north. I Chased him down and killed him after I told his I knew the actual Garvey

I made a character look like Chuck Norris and the institute just returned shaun n said take care, roll credits

Is Duke voiced by the same guy as Garrus from Mass Effect? Because maaan, they sound similar as hell.

“eh, I’m getting old” the way Ox said that was way too funny to me, for reasons I cannot describe.

In my playthrough I killed duke because I liked his power armor.... I met the atom cats later and I kinda felt bad

I got Blake's funeral, but my mods messed with which NPCs appear, so I had to women with male voices doing dialogue. It was somber, but humorous.

Sadly, blakes burial was the only encounter i ran into. Didn't know they were randomly generated

Maybe it's a coincidence, but could the burial scene be a reference to Watchmen? There is a scene in the book where three of the remaining watchmen bury their friend who was named Blake and the priest says the exact same thing as the one in this video does.

There is a "Hot Spot" as you put it. Right outside of the Vault 111. As soon as you start the game. After leaving the vault 111 turn right head towards the power line, and pass the Mole Rats. In that area you will find one. I found a man begging for water, another time I found a man selling a dog, another time I found a grave with a note on it, a ton of other things. I didn't know why this was happening but know I do. I just wanted to share it with you . Thanks for this video now I know I'm not going Crazy in finding thesis area's.

I like how they all have Blake Abernathy’s voice. I pretend he’s an undercover synth informant. I’ve found his voice is the most used with settlers

I encountered a impostor of Preston Garvey near the Cambridge police station

Garrus lives on in the voices of wastelands everywhere

I love how half these voices are Garrus. I guess the Great War interrupted his calibrations.

I understood that Matt Foley reference! I can thank my step-dad for that. He once just randomly showed us the clips, finding them on RU-vid, after he brought it up in conversation and was wondering if he could find existing footage online.

Voice acting with Blake's funeral enccounter is perfect. Very emotional

I was wondering what that hatch was, but in my game I found it between tenpines bluff & the highway bridge by the checkpoint, there was no scavenger there & it just said detonate so I threw a grenade at it & the hatch disappeared all together

It's so awesome knowing The Scribe was in Fallout 3 just as any one of the scribes at the Citadel

One of the best things out of all this would be the accents of Fallout 4. You have the two Russian brothers in Diamond City, you have a "badass" accent (deep, can find a few DC security with the voice) and you have the Bostonian, Along with the ghouls raspy voice

Definitely do another video on this. I knew of some random encounters but did not that they were so varied.

I like the random encounter hotspots on the various bridges around the commonwealth; I tend to find mostly super mutants, but it’s along these bridges (like outside the Makra fishpacking plant up north) I come across the thirsty settler/irradiated settler

It's so weird how random these encounters are. Everyone could have a different experience.

The Scribe reminds me so much of Bob Carlin for some reason... I love him so much, I had to start a new game to get him when I remembered that I met Smiling Larry and liked him too. Loved the video.

At the second location you showed, the best random encounter I got was a Preston Gravery Impersonator. I laughed so hard when I realized who he was. Also, the dialogue was hilarious.

That Blake encounter had so much fuckin emotion in the "asshole's" voice. Great job dude
