The liger family makes me sad. Ligers shouldn't exist, and that enclosure looks too small, sad, and boring for one big cat, much less 3. (Not judging you for going, Jacob; I know you like to show us a variety of places without judgment.) I'm just sad places exist that still breed ligers to (I assume) attract visitors and make money.

That lemur experience looked AMAZING!!! Just watching it made my whole day!

There’s a big difference between a zoo that dedicates itself to conservation with enriching natural habitats for the animals, and cruel concrete conditions intended to make money off tourists.

​@kerrybeth1 Animals in captivity definitely live longer than ones in the wild. So it's hard to say what they would want since we can't ask them. Personally, I'd rather stay in a small crappy hotel room being fed and receiving medical care than out in the harsh weather fighting off predators and having to fight or scrounge for food. But yeah I wouldn't survive three minutes.

@@laurag-oe9xo so we should excuse inhumane conditions because you think the animals would prefer that to being free? Please. Let’s just ignore children being abused and forced to live in squalor, because, hey, that’s better than being left on the streets, right?

@kerrybeth1 I think there is a limited amount of resources. Kids in other countries want clean water. Even some kids here in the US are homeless and hungry. Ranchers want land to raise their cattle without fear of them being killed by wolves and cougars. Ideally all children and animals would live wonderful lives. And fortunately their are amazing animal activists such as Betty White that do make a difference. But yes, some kids starve to death and some animals live in less than ideal situations. Personally I'd spend more money helping kids and less worrying about animals but I'm probably in the minority. Most people would want to build fancy and expensive animal sanctuaries instead of feeding kids. Because animals need space to roam while we suck down our burgers. Again, there is only so much money and resources available. It's not unlimited.

@@laurag-oe9xo they’re clearly breeding these animals in captivity for profit. That’s not conserving limited resources. That’s deliberate. But, I guess you’re okay with abuse for profit.
