yeah, no. just complaining about how sugary every donut is, while we know donuts are basically candy. this is the type of guy that goes to Krispy Kreme as his go-to.
But wouldn’t you trust a “not a sweet’s guy” judgement more especially if the rating was quite good? That probably means the donuts were exceptional in the eyes of someone who likes/loves sweets. For this case particular, I’m saying, because his rating for the donuts were quite generous.
That's probably why Round Rock Donuts, in Austin Texas, was my favorite donuts. They make the classics fresh. I've never had donuts as good as Round Rock Donuts.
As a doode who went to Randy’s Donuts himself, yeah. I’d hate to have Kev’s tongue and judgement calls. (I say the latter too since there are some of my favorite grub that he doesn’t like. It really is “different strokes for different folks”.)😑
Don’t worry he knows EXACTLY what a good donut is supposed to taste like. You might as well just give up eating entirely, because he took food expertise to its highest level. Watch out Michelin, we’ve got this dude from RU-vid!
@@foodforthought247 he literally gives any food that's "ethnic" a 10/10, no matter how garbage it really is. He's saying what he thinks people want to hear, he's not giving real opinions
@@tttoms4763not saying he has never given out a 10, but I’ve seen so many videos from him and never seen him give a 10, also he did a review on a Panda Express burrito, and after saying he was “in heaven” and was clearly loving the burrito he gave it a lower score than this donut place. He doesn’t give good scores regardless but he doesn’t just hand out 10s
As long as it’s fresh and the dough is good, all these mom and pop donut places taste the same, the only difference is the price and the size of the donut. One week I literally had three maple bars from three different spots and it was almost like one spot made the maple bar for all three donut shops, that’s how close they were.
Looked like the chocolate on the chocolate dip was burnt. I used to work in a donut shop and when the chocolate fondant got too hot it would burn and be a matte color. Should be shiny chocolate 😊
Since you’re in LA and you want to try traditional donuts. Try Kindles off Normandie and Century instead! Bussin on another level! And is a south central staple!
I love apple fritters and I go for the texture and then the taste but it Hass to taste good. But the texture it’s gotta have that crunch to it that look like a good apple fritter.
Best donuts I've ever had was when the owner of a winchells in las vegas walked in while me and my best friend were eating there, he told the workers to make fresh donuts for everyone in the store to try and they were amazing. Didnt taste like fryer oil and sugar like most places.
I live in compton and i thought we had this here so i was abt to comment “tbh i never had randy’s donuts even tho i live in compton and see it all the time” but i just realized we dont have randy’s donuts. We have Dale’s donuts lmfao
