Thanks Randy. Question: I have a 2 ball arsenal, a phaze 2 (solid benchmark) and hyroad pearl (less aggressive), and I was wondering what my next ball should be. I'm torn between urethane and a more aggressive ball than my phaze 2 (maybe asymmetrical? Hybrid)?

The best investment if you have few balls in your arsenal is a ball spinner.

So in your three spot in your six ball arsenal, are you talking about balls like IQ Tour?

6 ball arsenals are a little over kill in my opinion. 3-4 balls is more than enough to bowl a complete league or tourney in. I bowl with a guy who has 6 bowling balls and when things get a little to rough for him he gets lost in what to use. Eventually nothing seems to work for him because he would of tried nearly every ball he had... Not saying this happens to everyone but less can be more. And the lanes aren't usually that broken down to need almost 10 bowling balls to use

I have a one ball arsenal.

What happens if I can’t throw the ball the same way twice?! Do I ball up or down? Or put the bumpers up? Lol

I like the info here, but you gotta know what type of bowler you are first. Are you RPM challenged and speed dominant or are you speed challenged and RPM dominant? Gotta figure that out first. And NO ONE who has an RPM rate under 400 should even TOUCH thane IMO. Those balls are designed to get to a roll REALLY fast, so you need a lot of ball speed and a lot of RPMs to make sure they don't just quit on the backswing which a thane ball WILL do if you either throw it too hard without enough RPMs or if you just loop it (which is what happens when you do not have ENOUGH ball speed). If you are speed dominant you'll need at most one sym ball and it better be as aggressive if not more aggressive than your asym stuff. I'm incredibly speed dominant and I have exactly one sym ball in my bag: A Brunswick Cutting Edge that I am due to replace at any time now (and probably swap it for a Zen which is much more aggressive). There's this chick in my league who has less RPM than I do but also throws it 12mph. Asym stuff won't ever help her unless there is like 55' of oil out there. So everything in her bag should be a sym. A couple with surface and a couple that are pearl. Just my dumb opinion really.

What about hybrid bowling balls where would those fit into I have so many pearls and very little solids I have mostly pearls and Hybrids any good solid bowling balls for a two hander ?

The best thing ever learned was throw ball hard and straight at my spares how the hell do these pros not know how to do that why do you carry plastic why do you carry urethane to shoot spares with extra space in your bag that you don't need to be taking up learn to throw a ball straight that's simple
