Went to the range and worked 2 specific things, Specific malfunctions and earning your shot. We covered the 2 types of malfunctions that occurred when we induced malfunctions rather than the whole gambit to include Brass over bolt and failure to fire. Here soon ill probably do a full video on malfunctions as a whole. The other topic we covered was getting the muzzle past the meat and earning your shot. Per usual, thanks for being here, and thanks for the support!

That "Earn your shot" exercise is excellent. But I think inexperienced people should go through dry "crawl, walk, run" phases before going in live fire. It can be a great training session or a disastrous one. Great video MOJO!

The "Earn your shot" Drill is superb. It requires a lot of practice to get clean and safe runs. Make sure to practice this dry with your partner prior to going live. It can def be a bit dangerous for the inexperienced.

I'm overjoyed he got fired. Less extremists in law enforcement and the military is a sure way to ensure our people and our democracy thrive. We need more of these firings across our police departments.

@@SideWays8Productions I mean, cops have always been in it to enforce the law, never to protect and serve. That's an LAPD slogan that the LAPD never adhered to. Once you accept that law enforcement do what their job title says, which is enforce the law, it opens your eyes to what these people truly are, agents of the state with powers that are not afforded to civilians i.e. arresting powers and in some cases legal protections when engaging in killing. And this dude ceasing to be an agent of the state is in my opinion a great thing because he's an extremist who can't be trusted with the powers he used to have given to him over us. That's why I keep saying it's a great thing he got fired and we need more firings like this to go on across all the police departments in America.
@felixdewinter3484
@felixdewinter3484 2 года назад
@@thejoatmoo sure, he’s just an idiot for getting fired this way. He was already on the wrong side of history with his past associations with extremists, this is just the most noticeable and probably the most idiotic one.

Shooting with a buddy is a like becoming fluent in a foreign language. Getting that communication as concise as possible and comprehending the meaning & acting on the intent, without having to take the 'second stop' of translating it to your native tongue. Great stuff!

@11:34. They were both reloading at the same time, (Which in and of itself is not really a bad thing) The problem is one of them called out “cold”. Now, I don’t remember the names of both of them so I will just use a person A and person B as examples. (By the way, this is my opinion, I don’t do a lot of drills nor have I ever been in a real life fighting situation to know if it applies or not) Let’s say it was person A who said cold while person B was the one who was also cold, and heard that person A called out cold. In that case, I believe person B should immediately swap to his secondary so they at least have some control on the target instead of both of them fumbling to try and get their weapon ready. If both of them are trying to beat the other one in time, (not in a competition manner but more so to make sure that they get their weapon back on target) Then they increase the amount of errors they can make because they don’t have control of the target and they know that they’re objective is to get control on the target. It made sense to me to handle it in this way but I would very much like the opinion of anybody else to know if what I’m saying makes sense or not, if you made it this far into the comment… Thank you. 🙂
@geebeaux
@geebeaux 2 года назад
Makes sense. It also makes sense, that when you start a reload to finish. Not drop your mag, pull a fresh one....realise your buddy is cold.... drop fresh mag.. swap to pistol. Of course, if you & your buddy are fighting & reloading without cover.. you wont be for long.
@macgyvercohen1223
@macgyvercohen1223 2 года назад
@@geebeaux I think they should start their drill with acknowledging who the wingman is. As in, if the wingman is aware that he and The person he is a wingman to are both empty, then he should be the one to draw his secondary to allow his partner to reload first, after that the wingman could proceed when the primary person is locked and loaded, Or vice versa. Irregardless of who is the one to do so, it should be noted by them that if we are ever in a situation like this I reload while you draw your secondary. Therefore they know what to do when the situation arises.
@macgyvercohen1223
@macgyvercohen1223 2 года назад
@@thejoatmoo Of course I believe roles can change, I still think it’s important in order to teach someone how to communicate either when they are above someone or under someone. I think I put it in one of my comments that “communication is key in this situation”. So long as they can communicate with each other in a manner where they’re not both empty and trying to reload at the same time, that’s the important thing. I’m not really caring which one is person A and person B, because those positions can change depending on the situation. But on the same token it is still important for one of them to start off in one of these positions, because if it does come time for them to change roles, if they don’t know what position they were originally holding how can I know which position to change to. As I said in my previous comment, I haven’t really dealt in any situations like this in real life so this is me just talking as an idea and I’m hoping to get better clarification to know how to think through this process. Thank you.

Yeah, this is fine, but you really have to trust the person you're shooting with. I can understand why this type of training would be restricted to highly trained individuals and teams. There's simply too great a chance of a friendly fire incident, and when the tolerance for those types of incidents is zero, you simply can't do this with a lot of people who typically should be able to handle themselves. I've never seen anything like this in the military. They simply wouldn't allow it. If you're at a FOB or your part of a rapid response or SF team I could see this possibly being done. The rotating targets would be fun though. It'd be nice if you could set a timer on the controller and would it randomly rotate the targets. That, along with movement and cover, would be really good training. Great content Mojo!
