I had the same problem but unfortunately the WD40 trick didn't work for me so I ended up having to bypass the immobiliser and solder the blue wire to the power feed on the footwell light. I just have to make sure the interior light is on to turn the key. Works great 👍

Trust Land Rover to make the unit a part of the steering column. I have seen the wire to the foot well light, but this method has worked for me twice now. If I couldn't get it working with oil, I would probably try the wire trick.

Has something been done to the seat, or did it just stop working. Diagnostics should throw some light on any issues, and there are seat calibration modes on some diagnostic tools.

I have the same problem, it is solved with Wd40 but after two three weeks the steering wheel does not lock again. What do you advise me to fix it and make it last longer?

either try more wd40, or something that will clean the grime out and use some silicone oil spray, that might not evaporate in the heat

Hi Ben my old man’s RR has a similar problem, put the key in the ignition it won’t turn and we don’t hear any clicks would you say it’s the steering lock mechanism like on this one?

Probably, try doing what I did in the video, it doesn't cost anything to try.

@@Bensgarage I’m going to give it a shot I’ve took the top plate off and sprayed lubricate on to see if that helps. When I pug the key on our scanner recognises the key is on but lock won’t release. Surely if I put power the motor that rules out of the motors burnt out. I’ll be stripping it down this weekend to see how it goes but I’m thinking of putting a button in for starting.

@@jamescorbett5806 Once you have got some lubricant in there, try unplugging the box on the side of the steering column and then plug back in. That gets the motor going, on the steering lock, do that a few times and it normally frees off. Done it on a few L322's now and it has worked every time.
