Symptoms of fault
Is your vehicles air suspension rising slowly, noisily, or perhaps failing to rise at all?
EAS fault message, "Warning do not exceed 35 mph" message, lights just flashing on height adjustment switch?
Hard fault stored, vehicle on bump stops and not rising, taking too long to reach pressure, excessive compressor running?
Leak from EAS system but no visible leaks when testing components, vehicle on bump stops? Slow leak? Complete failure of EAS system?
The fault
The piston seal within your vehicles EAS air compressor is worn and perhaps the liner also and the filters saturated reducing output significantly.
The diaphragm seal and O-rings within your vehicles EAS valve block system can also wear causing the symptoms noted above.
The likely cause of the faults noted above and most common cause is a worn piston seal and or liner within the air suspensions compressor unit. Coupled with saturation of the filters in the compressors
filter unit. This results in reduction of compressor output and triggers vehicle faults as well as
extending the time taken to lift the vehicle.
The diaphragm and or O-rings within the valve block can also wear and can lead to the compressor overworking causing complete EAS failure, we always recommend replacing the diaphragm seal when replacing the o-rings in the valve block as both can cause leaks and EAS failure.
The solution
Fit our improved design piston seal, piston liner, filter kit, valve block O-rings and diaphragm and restore your EAS system to full health.
Our complete kit includes all needed to restore your compressor to full health. Our kit includes a
new improved design piston seal constructed to the finest of tolerances from
improved materials to restore full output.
A replacement piston liner to replace your scored or damaged liner.
Full filter replacement kit to allow you to replace all filters,
the original filters saturate quickly and drastically effect output, our improved replacements will
solve this problem.
Fit our Viton O-rings and cure those valve block leaks, importantly our O-rings are made from Viton 75, this material is suitable for the elevated and varying temperature range which the valve block endures. Viton rubber also has extremely good wear resistance far outlasting Silicone and Buna O-rings. Beware of cheap kits with Silicone and Buna O-rings we only ever use Viton.
Fit our diaphragm seal, this is made in the same way as the OEM seal, beware of aftermarket designs that cause the compressor to run on and burn out, this part is precision made to prevent this.
Vehicles affected
Range Rover Classic 1993-1996
Range Rover P38 1994-2002
Many Citroen and LDV models
Our kit will only repair the original Dunlop compressor.
If the compressor has been changed in vehicles life to a different compressor our kit may not repair this.
It is worthwhile checking the compressor is as illustrated (see instructions on how to access compressor)
