Himiway claims a range of 60-100km on their website, can my 2 year old Himiway Cruiser make that target?
I put my bike through it's paces on a 70km city tour from Bratislava, Slovakia to Vienna Austria.
Cobbled streets, road, gravel and woodland trails await along the route through the stunning Donauauen National Park as I battle range anxiety and see how well my trusted bike can perform.

Good distance test. I also got tired of leaning a bit too forward my e bike. So I added a stem extender which allows me to sit in a more upright position .. this could be an option for you as well.

Great idea for a review Tommo, I bought a second-hand ebike which had 600 miles on the clock. I've added another 780 miles over the winter communiting 22 miles a day when it's not icey! I am a much bigger guy and I have two monster hills to cycle. I have 30% left from a 500w battery at the end. Its uk legal and pedal assit only. But its such great fun, as there is no way I could cycle home after work in the winter on a conventional bike. Thanks for your thoughts and look forward to see more of your films and the most well trained dog ! I may do a review on my bike once I have done 1000 miles. Atb Grant 👍.

Thank you for this beautiful scenic review. I look at the Himiway tests a lot because I orient myself in this. I currently ride an old Flyer T7 from 2007, which I also cycle with 2 batteries, but if you do that, you have to keep driving until you feel the support disappear, so don't look at the display. That is the moment when you change the batteries and fully charge the empty battery at home in a living room temperature. In this way you make full use of the battery and train it for a long lifespan and full maintenance of the battery radius.

Another great video buddy and thank you for letting me know about the front rack. Agree on all points you made, even down to the sore butt after a long ride...felt like I'd been spanked with a piece of two by four after my last and longest ride to the home of Charles Darwin and back. As a fellow wild camper (hammocking in my case), what would you improve on cargo wise on the cruiser? It really is a workhorse and ideal for our uses. Have bought a second battery, yet to be used. Love the cosy you made to protect the battery...awesome idea. Keep up the awesome videos, ebiking and the ride out to experience nature and get some fresh air are the way forward...at 58 almost, I need that little bit of help now from the Cruiser. In my case, it isn't so much about the speed, as reliably getting to the destination and back and the journey. Best wishes from Kent/SE London, England

Putting that rack on the front was a real game changer for me. I didn't like the Himiway front racks and the Rad designed rack is a lot more practical for bulky cargo. I put my lightweight but bulky items on the front rack to avoid affecting the steering. The rear rack is a good design and is a good size, I appreciate the side rails along the sides not only for the panniers but as a useful tie down point for other cargo items. The fact that the Cruiser design allows you to modify and upgrade using other companies add-ons makes this bike a great choice for touring/camping. It's all positive in my eyes, I really can't complain and the only issue is it encourages me to over pack and bring more than I actually need. I highly recommend you make a cosy for the battery, it's very useful for not only keeping the contacts clean but as a shock absorber and insulation. Thanks for watching 👍🏻

Looking forward to more vids of you and Himiway on adventures. I ride the same model and really love it after more than a year. Great bike for the price.

Nice video and demo. I like the fact that you have a spare battery and I planned to upgrade a second battery in a rear trailer on my himiway

It's not often I need to bring the second battery along but it is a worthwhile investment if you travel beyond the range limit. This E-Bike is not a lot of fun to pedal unpowered so having that piece of mind packing a spare battery on longer trips really helps. Thanks for watching 👍🏻

Most amiz😮ng vidi😅 … About the e-bike correct . Wished you weren’t so self involved. Get to how amazing your bike was . Great tourism video.. Watched this RU-vid to get an idea about buying the Himiway. All the best.

Glad you enjoyed it! I'm not affiliated in any way with the Himiway brand, there are plenty of paid promotional videos of this E-Bike on RU-vid if you just want to hear the positives. This video was primarily a real world range test that just happened to include a brief description and my honest thoughts after 3 years of ownership. I stand by my pros and cons, you would definitely need to invest a few hundred extra on upgrades for this E-Bike to be truly amazing, and what I discovered making this video is that the range Himiway claimed on the website matched my 70km real world range, something I was skeptical of until now. The scenery was stunning, I really enjoyed making this one and I'm always glad to hear from the viewers!

I need to move location. 😊 Another very enjoyable clip. Could you possibly do me a favour, and go into the voltage settings on the console, and make a note of the 5 voltage settings, per the battery bars. I have been topping my charge up after each ride, but didn't before the last 18 mile ride, and the battery went dead with 5 miles remaining of the ride, and two bars displayed on the console. I think that my default settings are wrong, but don't know what they should be. Thanks in advance.

I think it'd be much quicker to ask on one of the Himiway Facebook groups as my bike is in storage for atleast a week. Glad you're enjoying the content!

Question: what was your average speed and what level of push-assistents you use? And in your video you talk about a 750 W motor. In the EU the maximum is 250W. I wonder what this means for the maximum distance. Because with my Cruiser (6 weeks old and 1100 km) I already lose 2 bars after 28 km). So I think I won't make it to 60 km with my battery.
@TheNorthOutdoorsUK
@TheNorthOutdoorsUK Год назад
I can understand your confusion about the motor but allow me to explain; According to Himiway, all Himiway Cruisers sold in the US and EU have a 750w motor. The Cruisers sold in the EU are limited to 250w output and locked at 25km/h with software in accordance with EU regulations. I have a global audience on this channel so I mostly refer to the motor as 750w despite me having the software speed limitation. As for my average speed, I'd say I was mostly going 20km/h, only dipping below that occasionally to talk to the camera to avoid wind noise. Pedal assist levels 2 and 3 were my preference on the flats.

Hi I'm from the UK with a new cruiser I managed 40 miles (64km) from full charge to totally flat. This was on various terrain with a few decent hill climbs too hope this helps.

Not sure what you're referring to but i appreciate your concern. If I'm sharing the road with cars it's because I'm legally entitled to do so, if I get hit by a vehicle it's not a matter of being careful.
